The delegation was led by Colonel Trinh Dinh Dong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the school.
At hamlet 6, Suoi Hai commune, the delegation visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Dinh Thi Le (born in 1929) whose two children are martyrs and one child is a war invalid (died).
Expressing his deep gratitude, Colonel Trinh Dinh Dong kindly asked about his mother's health, encouraged her spirit, and shared his admiration for the family's great sacrifices and losses for the independence and freedom of the nation. He hoped that the Party Committee, local authorities and family would continue to care for her so that she could live happily, healthily, and enjoy her old age with her children and grandchildren.
Next, in Tung Thien ward, the delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Do Thi Tung (born in 1931) whose two children were martyrs. Among them, martyr Phung Viet Thanh sacrificed in 1979 at the K battlefield; martyr Phung Manh Ky, a former wounded soldier in the resistance war against the US, died in 2019 due to a relapse of his wound and was posthumously awarded the title of martyr by the State.
Here, Colonel Trinh Dinh Dong expressed his deep gratitude for the great contributions and noble sacrifices of his mother and family in the cause of defending the Fatherland. He wished his mother good health, continued to be a spiritual support for her children and grandchildren, and encouraged the younger generation to follow the example of their fathers and elders, actively study, practice, and build their homeland to be more and more beautiful and affectionate.
The activity of visiting and giving gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions is a noble gesture, demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of officers and soldiers of the Military School of the Hanoi Capital Command towards the great sacrifices and contributions of heroic martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers and heroic Vietnamese mothers in the cause of national liberation and reunification, those who have brought a peaceful , prosperous, free and happy life to today's generation.
This is also a practical activity to educate the tradition of patriotism, foster revolutionary ideals, foster the will to contribute, and sense of responsibility for cadres, teachers, students, and soldiers; continue to strive to study, practice, and improve political qualities and professional qualifications, contributing to the successful implementation of military and defense tasks in the new situation; and firmly build and protect the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
