Lang Giang High School No. 1 was established in 1965 under the name Lang Giang High School in Quyet Tien village, Xuong Lam commune (now Lang Giang commune). In 1973, the school was officially located in Ao Luong village, Yen My commune, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province. In 2004, the school was renamed Lang Giang High School No. 1.
Over the past 60 years, generations of teachers at the school have devoted themselves to the cause of education . Among them, one teacher was honored to be a member of the 11th National Assembly; six teachers were awarded the title of Excellent Teacher; many teachers achieved the title of excellent teacher at the provincial level or higher. Generations of students who have studied and grown up at this school have made many important contributions to the development of their homeland and country.
From the initial 5 temporary classrooms with thatched roofs and earthen walls of Lang Giang High School, up to now, Lang Giang High School No. 1 has a spacious and modern facility. With a scale of 42 classes, a total of nearly 1,900 students/school year; the pedagogical council has 102 officers, teachers and employees. The school has full classrooms, functional rooms, libraries, multi-purpose halls... meeting the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program, is a friendly and happy learning environment for teachers and students to be creative and develop.
In recent years, with the solid expertise and professionalism of a team of experienced teachers, the quality of education has been maintained sustainably and has developed strongly. The rate of students with good and excellent training is over 99%; the good and excellent learning results have increased steadily over the years, currently reaching over 80%, always holding a position in the group of 5 schools with the number and quality of top prizes in the provincial cultural subject excellent student exams. The annual high school graduation rate is 100%, the university admission rate is over 80%. In provincial competitions, knowledge playgrounds such as: Youth and children's creativity, science and technology, start-up, road to Olympia, English speaking, the school's students have actively participated and have been honored to win many high prizes. The school's educational activities are always among the top schools in the province's high school sector.
For many consecutive years, the school has been recognized as an Excellent Labor Collective; the Party Committee, Trade Union, and Youth Union have always completed their tasks excellently. Over the past 60 years, the school has been honored to receive many noble awards: Third-class Labor Medal, Second-class Labor Medal, Emulation Flag of the Government, Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister, Certificate of Merit of the Ministry of Education and Training, Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee, Certificates of Merit of Central mass organizations and of the Provincial People's Committee; Typical advanced unit at the industry level in the period 2015 - 2020, Typical advanced unit at the provincial level in the period 2020 - 2025...
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan The Tuan - Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee congratulated and praised the efforts of generations of staff, teachers and students of the school throughout the process of construction and development. Over the years, Lang Giang High School No. 1 has achieved many impressive achievements, affirming its position as one of the leading flags of the education sector of Bac Giang province (old) - now Bac Ninh province. The school was the first to achieve National standards for high school in Bac Giang province before the merger; was awarded the Second and Third Class Labor Medals by the President along with many certificates of merit and emulation flags from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Provincial People's Committee.
Mr. Phan The Tuan - Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee requested the school to continuously innovate and improve the quality of comprehensive education, considering this a central and continuous task. Continue to promote teaching and learning in the direction of promoting creative thinking, self-study capacity and practical skills, applying digital transformation for students. Focus on foreign language and information technology education so that students can confidently integrate and become global citizens in the future.
Pay special attention to moral education, life ideals, life skills and arousing pride in cultural traditions for students. The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province hopes that the Bac Ninh Education sector will continue to promote the traditions, achievements and results that have been achieved; overcome difficulties, lead the entire sector to well implement the tasks of the 2025 - 2026 school year; proactively advise the Party Committee and the government to continue investing in facilities, creating the most favorable conditions for Lang Giang High School No. 1 to develop, worthy of being a happy, high-quality and modern school of Bac Ninh province.
On this occasion, Lang Giang High School No. 1 was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province for its outstanding achievements in education and training. Many groups and individuals were awarded by the Minister of Education and Training and the Director of the Department of Education and Training.
