On the evening of April 7, on the 8 p.m. News program of TF1 television channel, a nearly 4-minute report titled " Made in Vietnam : le nouvel atelier du monde" roughly translated as "Vietnamese production - the new factory of the world " was broadcast in the program's focus section.
Produced by a group of French reporters in Vietnam, the report aims to introduce this Asian country as a new destination for foreign investors.
The report describes the dramatic transformation of northern Vietnam from an agricultural region to a high-tech industrial hub , which is attracting many large international investors, especially in the field of smartphone and computer manufacturing.
According to French reporters, the wave of industrialization in the north is growing strongly, rapidly transforming the landscape from agricultural fields into modern industrial zones.
Near Haiphong, the northern region’s largest port, former swamps are being turned into factories. The outskirts of Hanoi have been dubbed the “industrial Champs-Élysées of northern Vietnam,” and farmers say “everything has changed completely” in just a few years.
According to French journalists, one of the reasons this dragon-shaped country attracts foreign investors is thanks to tax incentives and cheap labor costs.

Even French companies are hiring on a large scale, with one French semiconductor company expanding and planning to hire 200 people over the next three years.
Pegatron (a subcontractor to Tesla and Apple) has invested 500 million euros in a new facility and will employ 20,000 workers.
Currently, about 100 multinational companies have set up shop in Vietnam, contributing to the country's fastest growth rate in Asia over the past year.
The report ends with the comment: Vietnam, with a population of 100 million, is aiming to become Asia's new "dragon" in the industrial sector.
