From 6pm today, April 28, about 30km of Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway will be temporarily exploited.

In the announcement, VEC said that the temporary operation of sections of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway Project aims to reduce traffic pressure on some existing routes and intersections, especially to better serve the travel needs of the people, ensuring order and traffic safety during the April 30 and May 1 holidays and the peak summer tourist season in 2025.

Accordingly, the temporary operation time of the two routes is from 6:00 p.m. today, April 28.

Regarding the temporary traffic organization plan, VEC also informed about the vehicles allowed to circulate on the highway, operating speed and safe distance between vehicles.

Specifically, the operating speed of the main route from Km0+000 - Km3+420 is adjusted from 60km/h to 100km/h and the minimum operating speed is 60km/h; the maximum operating speed of the main route from Km3+420 - Km16+600 and the section from Km50+530 - Km57+581 is 100km/h, the minimum operating speed is 60km/h; the maximum operating speed of the main route from Km16+600 - Km 21+850 is 80km/h, the minimum operating speed is 60km/h; the maximum operating speed on branch roads is 50km/h; some branches at intersections and some connecting roads have a maximum speed of no more than 40km/h. VEC also guides traffic at 8 intersections of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway.

According to VEC, the unit has developed and reported to the competent authority a price plan for services using the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway. After completing the procedures according to regulations, VEC will announce the time to collect fees for the sections put into operation, expected in the second quarter of 2025.
