Not only is this a particularly important political event celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, it is also a meaningful milestone affirming the maturity, growth, self-reliance and self-reliance of the country.

Tomorrow, through a large-scale online television bridge with 80 bridges, people across the country will accompany, follow and share pride at the same moment. Each bridge will be a testament to the spirit of "unanimously working together" to create momentum, create momentum, create motivation to develop the country's socio -economy, strengthen regional and local connectivity; contribute to the economic growth target of 8% or more in 2025 and double-digit growth in the following years of the 2026 - 2030 period; create jobs, livelihoods and improve people's lives...
Among the 250 projects, there are 8 important national projects, dozens of group A projects and hundreds of group B and C projects with large scale, ranging from national defense, transport infrastructure, civil - urban, industrial, agricultural, rural, educational, medical to cultural and sports projects. In particular, many typical projects have shortened the progress compared to the plan of many years, showing the determination and outstanding efforts of all levels, sectors, enterprises and construction forces.
The inauguration of the National Exhibition Center - a very complex design, beautiful architecture, with super-sized, super-heavy steel structure in Dong Anh commune, Hanoi, nearly two years earlier, or the Rach Mieu Bridge designed and successfully constructed by Vietnamese contractors is a clear demonstration of the remarkable maturity of Vietnamese intelligence, courage and capacity.
These projects and works are the new rhythm of life of the country, job opportunities for the people, social shelters, bridges to shorten regional distances, modern hospitals to ease the pain of the sick, and research centers to open up new knowledge and technology.
Tomorrow, the inauguration and simultaneous groundbreaking of 250 projects and works will have a very great significance. Not only are they concrete and steel structures, or huge amounts of investment capital, but they are also vivid symbols of the strength of solidarity, intelligence and the will to be self-reliant and self-reliant of the nation.
From the National Exhibition and Fair Center in Dong Anh, Hanoi to bridges, hospitals, industrial parks, research centers, parks, and social housing across 34 provinces and cities, all carry the spirit of innovation, aspiration for development, and close ties between the Party, the State, businesses, and the people.
If we turn back the wheel of history to the autumn of 80 years ago, that great power arose in the "earth-shaking" August Revolution. The entire Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh rose up to seize power, erase the long night of slavery, shake off poverty, oppression, misery, and illiteracy to give birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
From that turning point, the path to independence, freedom, and happiness opened up. And over the past 80 years, under the Party's flag, our people have gone from victory to victory on the journey of nation building. And this fall, our people are moving towards the ambition of building a strong and prosperous nation.
The basis of that belief is not only the spirit of the August Revolution and the glories of the journey of building and defending the country. Over the past 40 years, under the leadership of the Party and the State, we have not only achieved impressive economic growth, maintained political and social stability, improved people's lives, but also built prestige and position in the international arena.
Advances in healthcare, education, science and technology, agriculture, processing industry, information technology and digital transformation have demonstrated Vietnam's capacity for integration, innovation and adaptation in the integration flow.
The basis for that belief also comes from very realistic and convincing numbers when looking at the picture of Vietnam's economy in the first 7 months of 2025. It is a picture with many outstanding bright spots in a context of rapid and complex fluctuations in the world situation and important domestic tasks, especially the implementation of streamlining the apparatus, two-level local government and merging provinces and cities for the goal of creating new momentum for the economy.
The bright spots are the very clear recovery momentum in production, trade and services. The industrial production index increased by 8.6% over the same period, with manufacturing alone increasing by 10.3%, at the highest level in the 2020-2024 period. Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue increased by 9.3%, contributing significantly to growth.
Import and export turnover reached 514.7 billion USD, up 16.3%; the trade surplus was 10.18 billion USD, affirming the competitiveness of Vietnamese goods. In the first seven months of this year, 174,000 enterprises entered the market, 1.2 times higher than the number of withdrawals; total additional capital was more than 3.3 trillion VND, up 93.7% compared to last year.
Inflation is under control as the average CPI increased by 3.26%, lower than the same period in 2024 (4.12%). This is the foundation for the Government to maintain macroeconomic stability in the context of global economic fluctuations and challenges from the new US tariff policy.
In response to these remarkable and relatively comprehensive results, Mr. Dong He, Chief Economist of the ASEAN 3 Macroeconomic Research Office, said: "Reforms to improve the investment environment and infrastructure are also helping Vietnam consolidate its position more firmly."
So today, looking at the projects that will be started and inaugurated tomorrow, we can clearly see the great significance, which is the continuation of the spirit of the August Revolution: Dare to think, dare to do, dare to aspire, dare to rise up.
On the morning of August 19, 2025, from highlands to remote islands, from bustling cities to peaceful countrysides, projects and constructions will be inaugurated and started. These are the results of policies, the crystallization of sweat, intelligence, and dedication of millions of people.
All of this has created the spirit of a nation confidently entering a new era of development!
