From June 1, passengers will use chip-embedded ID cards to travel on the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro.

On May 24, Urban Railway Company No. 1 said that in order to facilitate metro passengers, from June 1, 2025, passengers buying regular monthly tickets can use their ID cards or chip-embedded CCCDs to take the train.

To use the above train travel method, passengers follow these steps: Step 1: Log in to the account that purchased the monthly ticket on the HCMC Metro HURC application. Step 2: Access the "Edit personal information" section, select the "Link chip-embedded CCCD" function and link the ID card or chip-embedded CCCD.

In case passengers encounter problems during the connection process, please contact the support staff at the station or via the Company's Support Center (0287.3003.885) for timely guidance and handling.

The implementation of cashless payment on the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien Metro line is not only a breakthrough, but also opens a new chapter for a multi-modal, efficient and convenient public transport network.
