At the meeting, representatives of the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha informed about some typical results of the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the past time and some key tasks in the coming time.
Accordingly, in recent years, the Buddha's Birthday Festival organized by the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has become a major Cultural and Religious Festival in the festival series of Thua Thien Hue province.
The Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha agreed on the program of the Buddha's Birthday Week from May 15-22, 2024, associated with many meaningful activities such as: Setting up 7 lotus flowers on the Huong River and Buddhist symbols; performing the Buddha bathing ritual and the traditional Buddha procession; flower boat parade on the Huong River; releasing lanterns; exhibition on Buddhist culture at Lieu Quan Buddhist Cultural Center; visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious services to the country, war invalids, martyrs' families, facilities for children with disabilities, orphans, nursing homes, hospitals..., especially focusing on implementing key social security programs in A Luoi and Nam Dong districts.
Most Venerable Thich Khe Chon - Head of the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha sent his thanks to the provincial leaders for always paying attention and creating favorable conditions for the province's Buddhism to operate and develop; especially paying attention and supporting, directing relevant departments and branches, as well as authorities at all levels to create favorable conditions for the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to organize activities.
The Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will continue to guide monks, nuns, and Buddhists to practice according to religious laws, and Buddhists to comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws, and strive to build the province to become increasingly rich and prosperous.

Most Venerable Thich Khe Chon hopes that the province will consider some legitimate and legal needs of the Executive Committee to contribute to stabilizing the lives of monks, nuns, and Buddhists in the spirit of harmony, solidarity, living a good life, upholding the religion, nurturing the religious mind, and solemnizing the Church.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh hopes that: The Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha will continue to promote the spirit of "good life - good religion" to accompany the authorities at all levels to carry out many activities to improve the material and spiritual life of the people, contributing to the development of the local socio-economy. Thereby, spreading the good values of Buddhism in the spirit of "serving the Dharma, serving the nation"; encouraging and motivating Buddhists to unite and join hands with the Party Committee, the government and the people of the province to preserve and promote the heritage values of the ancient capital of Hue and the cultural identity of Hue, participate in patriotic emulation movements, successfully implement Resolution 54 of the Politburo to soon turn Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-run city.
Mr. Binh affirmed that in the coming time, the authorities at all levels will always pay attention, support and create all favorable conditions for the Provincial Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to operate in accordance with the provisions of law and regulations of the Central Sangha; promptly resolve the legitimate and legal needs of the Executive Committee in accordance with the provisions of law and the actual situation of the locality.
