The patrol team of Nghe An Provincial Border Guard is led by Colonel Ho Quyet Thang - Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Border Guard. The patrol team on the other side is led by Colonel Phi Da Van Phim Huong Si (Phidavanh PHIMHEUANGSY), Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Bo Ly Kham Xay Provincial Military Command.

Overcoming unfavorable weather conditions and complex steep mountainous terrain, the two sides conducted bilateral patrols, inspected border markers, stakes, and national border signs, and directly discussed and agreed on relevant issues in the field. The two sides coordinated border patrols and controls, inspected the border marker system, border signs, border directions, and border works as determined by the Vietnam-Laos Joint Land Border Committee. The two sides exchanged information related to issues of national border management and protection, political security, and social order and safety on both sides of the border.

At border markers No. 460, 461, 462 and border post No. 460/1: the border line, border markers and border posts are still intact, with no signs of displacement or damage. Through bilateral patrols, people on both sides of the border strictly comply with the border laws of Vietnam and Laos; and are aware of protecting border markers and border posts. During the patrol, no illegal encroachment, encroachment, illegal exploitation of forest products and activities violating border regulations within the scope of responsibility were detected.

On this occasion, the bilateral patrol force was discussed by the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command to pilot the model of "Border Marker Inspection Road, Border Protection" in the area of National Marker 461 of the Vietnam - Laos border in the coming time. Specifically, the length of the route: 150m, from the patrol road on the Vietnamese side to Marker 461; the roadbed width is 2m, with concrete. In addition, along both sides of the road, Bauhinia trees will be planted.
The model aims to serve the patrolling, management and protection of the border of the Border Guard, promptly detect, resolve and handle violations of the Agreement on Border Management Regulations and Border Gate on the Vietnam - Laos mainland. Colonel Ho Quyet Thang - Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Nghe An Provincial Border Guard said: This is the first time that Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command and Bolikhamxay Provincial Military Command have organized bilateral border patrols at the provincial level, thereby demonstrating solidarity, smooth coordination, promoting the role and responsibility, ensuring the correct content and requirements of the plan. The patrol process ensures absolute safety for people, weapons, equipment, vehicles and documents.
This patrol aims to coordinate more closely between the two sides in border management and protection and maintain political security and order on the border, contributing to strengthening the special cooperative and solidarity relationship between the two countries in general and between the Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command and the Bolikhamxay Provincial Military Command in particular. Through patrolling, inspecting and protecting the system of national border markers and border lines, it is possible to promptly detect and coordinate in resolving violations of the Agreement on Border Management Regulations and Border Gates on Land between Vietnam and Laos.

After organizing a bilateral patrol of the border section, the patrol teams of both sides met to review experiences and signed a bilateral patrol record at Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard. At the same time, they agreed on the time and bilateral border section for the next provincial patrol.
