Support housing and improve people's lives
Provincial Youth Union Secretary - Tran Hai Phu said that from 2022 to now, Youth Unions at all levels in the province have mobilized funds and working days to eliminate 67 temporary and dilapidated houses ; and presented 50 Red Scarf houses, Pioneer houses, and Friendship houses to disadvantaged people. These shelters not only help stabilize their lives but also motivate children to excel in their studies and work.
In addition, Long An youth also actively contribute to building new rural areas with meaningful projects such as the "Bright - green - clean - safe" road, contributing to improving infrastructure and improving the quality of life for people, especially in border areas.
With the spirit of “Leaving no one behind”, the 10th Warm Spring Border Program was held in Moc Hoa border district, Kien Tuong town with a total budget of more than 300 million VND. The program brought many meaningful activities such as visiting and giving gifts to officers and soldiers on duty at Binh Thanh Border Guard Station and Binh Hiep International Border Gate Border Guard Station, adding motivation for officers and soldiers to firmly protect the sovereignty of the national border.
In particular, the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises organized the 5th program "Accompanying friends in the border areas" in Binh Tan commune, Kien Tuong town. During the program, 2 laptops, 10 bicycles, 10 study gifts, 20 lunches for preschool children and dozens of gifts for families with meritorious services, former volunteer youth and people with disabilities were presented. Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Agencies and Enterprises - Vo Thuy An emphasized that this is a valuable source of encouragement, helping students and families with meritorious services have more confidence and motivation to rise up in life.
Not only focusing on the border, the Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels in the province also carry out many practical activities such as the programs Spring Volunteer, Spring Sharing - Tet of Love, Spring of Love, taking care of young workers and people in difficult circumstances.
In Phuoc Ly commune, Can Giuoc district, the 2025 Spring Volunteer Program presented 435 gifts worth 217 million VND to policy families, young workers and disadvantaged students. In Tan Thanh district, the Spring of Love program presented 50 Tet gifts and 2,000 notebooks to students. In Tan An city, the Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Federation presented 50 Tet gifts and a Friendship House to young workers in difficult circumstances.
Understanding the difficulties of people when returning home for Tet, the Youth Union of Ben Luc, Duc Hoa, Tan Thanh, Thanh Hoa, Tan Hung districts, Tan An City deployed charity support stations on National Highway 1, National Highway N2 and National Highway 62. Activities include supporting vehicle repair, providing drinking water, giving gifts, traffic guidance, etc., contributing to helping people have a safe and convenient journey home.
At the N2 roundabout and Phuoc Loc Tho ancient village, the Charity Support Station program in the 2025 Spring Volunteer Campaign donated more than 6,000 bottles of mineral water and 6,000 cold towels to the people. At the N2 roundabout alone, the program also donated 5,000 bottles of mineral water, cold towels, 2,000 loaves of bread and milk. Although the gifts are small, they are meaningful, helping people have a warm and peaceful journey home.
In addition to social security programs, the Youth Union at all levels also implements many meaningful models such as Filial Children, Returning to Mother's House, and Helping Children Go to School.
The Kien Tuong Town Youth Union has just implemented the model of Helping Children Go to School, helping children at risk of dropping out of school. Among them, Ly Minh Trong - a student at Nguyen Thai Binh Primary School, who has a serious illness and is in difficult circumstances, received timely support from the program. Not only stopping at one individual, the program has also been expanded, creating conditions for many other students to have the opportunity to go to school and continue their education.
Pioneer in digital transformation
In addition to social security activities , the Youth Union at all levels also promotes digital transformation, contributing to the modernization of administrative procedures and raising digital awareness in the community. Volunteer youth teams support people in accessing online public services, making the application process faster and more convenient.
In order to improve digital skills in the community, the Youth Union at all levels in the province has implemented the Digital Literacy Program to help people access technology in a simple and effective way. Recently, the Youth Union - Vietnam Youth Union of Duc Hoa district organized the launch of this team, combining online training at 3 locations with the participation of 50 union members and young people. The key contents include instructions on installing and using the Long An So application, VNeID, registering for online public service accounts and disseminating knowledge about digital transformation.
Not only stopping at training conferences, digital transformation activities are also deployed directly to each residential area. At a coffee shop in Phuoc Thuan hamlet, Phuoc Lam commune, Can Giuoc district - where people often gather every morning - the Digital Popularization team is present early to support people in accessing technology. With a core role, union members and young people guide people in using online public services, installing and operating digital applications such as VNeID, Long An So, cashless electronic payments, etc. This model is expected to be maintained periodically every Sunday, becoming a technology class for the community, especially the elderly and those with little exposure to technology.
In addition to popularizing digital skills, Phuoc Lam youth also left their mark with the project of digitizing local roads. Le Thi Luc digital road (Phuoc Ke hamlet, Phuoc Lam commune) not only brings a modern look but also helps people easily look up information about history and geographical location through QR codes. This project is a clear demonstration of the pioneering spirit of the Youth Union in building a digital platform in the locality.
Not only Phuoc Lam, the Digital Road model is also strongly deployed in Long An and My Loc communes, responding to Youth Month 2025. In Long An commune, the project is carried out on a road named after Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Bai, applying QR technology to provide information on local history, biographies of famous people, map locations and security and order information. In My Loc commune, each road is integrated with a QR code, helping people easily look up information with just a simple operation on their smartphones.
Deputy Secretary in charge of Can Giuoc District Youth Union - Vo Thi Ngoc Kieu said that recently, the District Youth Union has widely deployed the Digital Literacy Program at Youth Union bases, contributing to bringing technology closer to the people. With the spirit of initiative and creativity, the youth of Can Giuoc District have gradually realized the digital transformation, joining hands to build a modern, civilized and sustainable society.
The practical activities of Long An youth not only bring practical values but also spread the spirit of humanity and affection in the community. Thereby, the image of union members and young people becomes more beautiful and closer in the eyes of the people.
