Actively mobilizing people to promote intensive farming, expand concentrated commodity production associated with processing and consumption of products is emphasized.
The implementation of the projects has initially achieved a number of planned goals. Agricultural production has developed steadily and has an average growth rate of over 7.5% per year. By the end of 2022, the proportion of crop cultivation will account for 86.5%, livestock farming will account for 9.7%, and agricultural services will account for 3.8%. The average production value per hectare of cultivated land will reach 90 million VND/ha. Perennial industrial crops continue to affirm the district's strengths with an area of 40,536 ha (an increase of 19% compared to 2018).
Some specialized areas for growing crops such as coffee, pepper, cashew, rubber, green vegetables, sweet potatoes, macadamia... have been formed and developed according to planning, associated with disease safety. Many people have applied mechanization in agriculture in some stages of land preparation, transportation, harvesting and processing. The rate of using new varieties of the district's main crops is from 80-95%, productivity increases from 5-10%.
Speaking at a recent working session with the Standing Committee of Tuy Duc District Party Committee, Comrade Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, said that in order to make a breakthrough in high-tech agriculture, Tuy Duc district has planned a number of production areas. For some famous products on the market, the locality has a solution to establish cooperatives and cooperatives. Because if not established, it will be difficult to create a value chain, and if there are not enough products, it will be difficult to promote and introduce.
“To realize the breakthrough in NNƯDCNC, Tuy Duc district alone cannot do it but needs the support of departments, branches, associations and unions. Therefore, units need to coordinate, share responsibility, and closely follow the locality for the development of the locality, especially to solve difficulties and problems as well as the tasks set out in the resolution”, Comrade Luu Van Trung suggested.
