After a bitter 0-1 defeat against the Philippines in the second match, the Vietnamese women's team had to overcome Myanmar in their final, do-or-die game.
A victory would allow Vietnam to advance, and even a victory with a large margin would secure them the top spot in the group. If they don't win, the Vietnamese girls will be eliminated.
Therefore, the determined fighting spirit helped the Vietnamese girls create great pressure at the beginning of the match, and concretized it with the opening goal in the 8th minute.
Tran Thi Duyen delivered an accurate cross into the Myanmar penalty area, allowing Van Su to leap high and head the ball into the net, giving the Vietnamese women's national team a 1-0 lead.

Bich Thuy shines. |
In the 14th minute, following an effort by Hoang Thi Loan, the Myanmar defense fumbled the ball, which bounced right to Bich Thuy, and the midfielder easily scored, increasing the score to 2-0.
The two-goal lead allowed the Vietnamese team to play calmly and control the game.
Van Su continued to be a dangerous threat, playing aggressively and having a chance to increase the score to 3-0, but her close-range header was inaccurate.
In the remaining minutes, the Vietnamese women's team played pragmatically to preserve the result. Winning 2-0, the Vietnamese women's team has 6 points after three matches with a goal difference of (+8), securing first place in Group B. This is because, in the other match played at the same time, the Philippines women's team only won against Malaysia 5-0, thus finishing second in the group with 6 points and a goal difference of +5.
Vietnam's women's team will face Indonesia in the semi-finals, while Thailand secured first place and will meet the Philippines.
