Propagating cultural values, family values and Vietnamese human standards in the new era

On May 17, 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a Plan to implement solutions to propagate the system of cultural values, family values and standards of Vietnamese people in the new period.

Accordingly, the purpose of the plan is to raise awareness of all levels, sectors and the whole society about the basic elements of the national value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards in the new period; identify key solutions, key points and implementation time as the basis for developing regular annual tasks; assign relevant agencies and units to perform assigned tasks in the Plan on schedule, ensuring quality and high efficiency; ensure the synchronous, responsible, active and effective participation of agencies and units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Culture and Sports of provinces and centrally run cities.

The implementation content is: Thoroughly and comprehensively grasp the content of the Vietnamese value system summarized according to Party documents, the Conclusion of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference in 2021 and the results of the National Workshop "National value system, cultural value system, family value system and Vietnamese human standards in the new period" in 2022, including:

- Cultural value system: Nation, democracy, humanity, science;

- Family value system: Prosperity, happiness, progress, civilization.

- Vietnamese human value system: Patriotism, solidarity, self-reliance, loyalty, honesty, responsibility, discipline, creativity.

Focus on propaganda, dissemination, and education to raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, localities, and the whole society about the Vietnamese value system to strongly arouse patriotism, national self-reliance, and the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.

Continue to direct and guide the introduction of the Vietnamese value system into cultural, artistic, physical education, sports, and happy family building activities within the scope of industry management to thoroughly and comprehensively grasp the contents of forming Vietnamese human standards in the new period, fostering the family value system, developing the cultural value system, contributing to consolidating the national value system on the basis of preserving, inheriting, promoting the values of national cultural heritage and selectively absorbing the quintessence of world culture.

Organize research and evaluate the effectiveness of propaganda work on the Vietnamese value system to draw lessons and replicate effective solutions in the next phase.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of provinces and centrally run cities shall strengthen coordination with the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the City Party Committee, local agencies, departments and branches to implement the dissemination, popularization, study and propaganda of the building of the national value system, the cultural value system, the family value system and the standards of Vietnamese people in the new period; integrate the content of the value systems into the activities of the Movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"; advise on the preliminary and final review of the Party's resolutions, and develop resolutions of the Party Committee on promoting the cultural value system, the family value system and the standards of Vietnamese people in the new period in the locality.

Building a model for practicing Vietnamese value systems in each field and management area; bringing the content of value systems into all activities of village, hamlet, neighborhood, agency, unit, enterprise and each family; ensuring that all members have access to and have the conditions to practice Vietnamese human standards in the cultural environment of the family, community and the whole society.

Innovate the content and methods of cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities to meet people's needs for enjoying cultural values; organize cultural, sports and entertainment activities suitable to the cultural characteristics of ethnic groups, regions and areas, contributing to moral education and creating a healthy lifestyle.
