Propaganda and dissemination of food safety laws

Implementing Plan No. 08/KH-SNNMT dated April 4, 2025 of the Department of Agriculture and Environment to implement the National Target Program for New Rural Areas in 2025 in the field of Quality, Processing and Market Development. The Department of Quality, Processing and Market Development coordinated with the Farmers' Association of Hoa Binh commune to organize 6 propaganda sessions to disseminate laws on food safety (on October 8, 2025, October 9, 2025, October 10, 2025, October 14, 2025, October 15, 2025 and October 16, 2025) for farmer members producing and trading agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the commune with a number of 30 people/session. These propaganda sessions mainly focused on a number of key contents including: Hazards of food contamination; Good Hand Practice and Good Personal Hygiene Practice; Guidance on conditions to ensure food safety in primary production (cultivation, livestock, aquaculture, etc.); Guidance on participating in the Certification of Safe Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Food Supply Chain; Causes, harms and measures to prevent food contamination hazards in the production and trading of fresh vegetables and fruits; Some relevant regulations on food safety for the production and trading of agricultural, forestry and fishery food products. Aiming to gradually eliminate the situation of "distinguishing production for eating from production for sale", contributing to the production of safe food, improving the quality of local agricultural, forestry and fishery products, providing the market with products that ensure quality and food safety to meet market demand and protect the health of consumers. The propaganda sessions also recorded many heated discussions on the process of producing and trading safe agricultural, forestry and fishery products. Through the propaganda sessions, farmer members producing and trading agricultural, forestry and fishery products in Hoa Binh commune have grasped the knowledge imparted to be able to apply it to the actual situation to contribute to better production and trading of quality and safe agricultural, forestry and fishery products for the health of the community./.
