Muong Lay town competes to celebrate the 70th anniversary of liberation

Mr. Hoang Van Quyen, Chairman of Muong Lay Town People's Committee said: The movement to launch emulation and achieve achievements to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the town's Liberation and the day Uncle Ho sent a letter to Lai Chau cadres and compatriots was launched from the beginning of September for all cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and people in the area.

The inner city roads are newer and cleaner, trees are neatly trimmed, and people hang national flags in front of their houses.

The campaign aims to create a vibrant and widespread competitive atmosphere throughout the town towards a milestone in the history of Muong Lay Town. At the same time, through the campaign, raise awareness among cadres, party members and people about the importance and great significance of the anniversary; arouse traditions, national pride, the spirit of overcoming difficulties and creative labor of the entire population; create a premise for successfully implementing targets and tasks in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security and a strong political system in the locality.

In nearly 3 months of implementing the emulation movement, many achievements have been achieved, contributing significantly to the development of the locality; the appearance of the town has been constantly renewed, completing the goal of building advanced new rural areas, completing the construction of great solidarity houses, and implementing well the action program "All people unite to build a cultural life"...

The Fatherland Front stepped up supervision and urging of house construction, ensuring exceeding targets and plans, ensuring progress and quality of works to celebrate the town's major holiday.

Mr. Phung Quang Huy, Deputy Director of the Muong Lay Town Project Management Board, said: The Board is in charge of the Muong Lay Town Inner-Urban Road Project with a total investment capital of 73 billion VND, with an implementation period from 2022 to 2024. To speed up the project's progress and complete it before the 70th anniversary, the Project Management Board has accelerated the review, planning, contractor appointment and completion of necessary procedures for the project to be implemented soon. Up to now, after more than 400 days of implementation, it has basically been completed, exceeding the set target.

Similar to the Project Management Board, in recent times, Muong Lay Town Youth Union has also actively promoted the emulation movement, making achievements to celebrate the town's major holidays. Mr. Nguyen Van Linh, Secretary of Muong Lay Town Youth Union, said: Since the beginning of the year, the town's Youth Union has actively organized and planned to launch over 25 activities, organized sanitation, eliminated environmental black spots in the area, organized activities to visit cemeteries, offer incense to commemorate heroic martyrs, visit and give gifts, help lonely and difficult circumstances, and at the same time build models of self-governing youth, say no to drug abuse, comply with and abide by the constitution and laws...

Through activities to compete to celebrate the town's major holidays as well as the nation's major holidays; at the same time, foster revolutionary ideals and responsibilities of the young generation to their homeland and country, creating a source of quality human resources who are proactive, responsible and creative for the community.
