Quang Yen Town: Speeding up projects and tasks to welcome party congresses at all levels

These days, the construction site of the new Bach Dang High School – one of the key projects selected by Quang Yen town to celebrate the Party Congress at all levels for the 2025-2030 term – is bustling with activity and urgency. Bach Dang High School is being rebuilt in Cong Hoa ward and Tien An commune with a total planned area of 32,286 square meters and a total investment of over 226 billion VND from provincial and town budgets.

The project includes the main components: a school building, an administrative building, a multi-purpose building, and other auxiliary facilities. Construction began in late August 2024 and is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of July 2025. Currently, the investor and construction units, along with independent supervisory units, are actively coordinating and directing forces, deploying equipment and machinery for overtime work, and accelerating the construction progress to complete the project in time for the Quang Yen Town Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. The investment in this project is in line with the Quang Yen urban master plan with a vision to 2050, aiming to fundamentally improve the infrastructure and enhance the quality of teaching and learning for teachers and students of the school.

Leaders of the Quang Yen Town Investment and Construction Project Management Board, along with the consulting and supervision unit and Thai Son Corporation, discussed the implementation of the new Bach Dang High School construction project.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Director of the Thai Son General Corporation Branch ( Ministry of National Defense ) - the joint venture unit constructing the Bach Dang High School project, said: "With a high sense of responsibility, from the very beginning of the construction, we determined that we must ensure the project is completed on schedule and inaugurated to welcome the Party Congress of Quang Yen Town. Accordingly, the unit has mobilized all its officers and soldiers, as well as machinery and equipment, and coordinated with local laborers, taking advantage of favorable weather conditions, working overtime and extra shifts to ensure progress and quality, striving to complete the project and hand it over to the investor by the end of July 2025."

According to Mr. Duong Van Thang, Head of the Supervision Department of the Quang Yen Town Investment and Construction Project Management Board (the investor of the new Bach Dang High School construction project), the project's progress has reached over 70% at this point. The Town's Investment and Construction Project Management Board has coordinated with the consulting and supervision unit to closely monitor the construction work, directing the construction unit to accelerate progress while ensuring adherence to technical, aesthetic, and quality standards, in order to complete the project early to celebrate the 22nd Congress of the Quang Yen Town Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

The cultural and sports center is one of the projects selected to display a plaque welcoming the 23rd Party Congress of Hiep Hoa Commune, term 2025-2030.

In line with the general spirit and enthusiasm for emulation, units and localities within the town have also intensified activities and movements with many practical and meaningful projects and tasks. Accordingly, in addition to investment resources from the province and the town, localities have also actively and proactively mobilized social resources to implement projects and tasks that are suitable to the needs, actual conditions, and planning of the locality.

For example, in Hiep Hoa commune, in addition to the 32 billion VND allocated by the town's budget, the locality has mobilized 1.5 billion VND from social resources to diligently implement and complete various projects. Particular attention has been paid to infrastructure and investment in cultural institutions, contributing to urban beautification and fulfilling criteria such as roads, drainage systems, lighting, green spaces, cultural facilities, parks, gardens, and parking lots... as directed by the Town Party Committee and the commune's Party Committee, in order to improve and complete urban criteria for Hiep Hoa to become a ward by 2025. Among these, the Cultural and Sports Center is a project chosen by the commune to be inaugurated to celebrate the 23rd Party Congress of the commune, term 2025-2030. Currently, 80% of the work has been completed. Upon completion, it will ensure a comprehensive and effective service for the cultural and sports activities of the people in the area.

The street lighting project from Road 331B to the Gieng Meo village cultural center in Tien An commune (Quang Yen town) has been selected to have a sign welcoming the 19th Party Congress of Tien An commune, term 2025-2030.

In preparation for the Party Congress at all levels, the entire town has implemented more than 80 projects, with communes and wards as the main investors, including contributions from the people, investing in infrastructure, improving the quality of life for people in the area, and aiming to complete the criteria for Quang Yen to become a city in 2025.

According to Tran Duc Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Yen Town: "We have clearly identified a number of projects to be marked with commemorative plaques for the Town Party Congress. Currently, the town is continuing to direct agencies, units, and contractors to accelerate the construction progress to complete the projects, striving to finish them in June. On the other hand, we are also coordinating with provincial agencies to expedite the compensation and land clearance process for projects in industrial parks to attract investment and implement projects to achieve economic development goals, as well as the province's 2025 work theme of 'Breakthrough in economic development, creating momentum for the new term'." At the same time, in coordination with the Provincial Project Management Board for the construction of civil and industrial works, focus on directing land clearance and implementing the construction of a number of core and key transportation infrastructure projects in the town to increase connectivity and regional linkages to serve socio-economic development in the town in 2025 and the following years.
