Mr. Do Duy Bac, born in 1972, in Thuong village, Dien Xa commune, Nam Truc district (Nam Dinh province), with a model of producing and trading flowers and ornamental plants; profit reaching over 1.5 billion VND/year, creating regular jobs for 15-20 workers with an average income of 6-7 million VND/person/month; became a typical advanced representative of the province to attend the Conference to commend and honor typical advanced models nationwide and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister .

He was born and raised in his hometown of Nam Truc - a locality with a traditional profession of growing flowers and ornamental plants, with a history of hundreds of years.

From a young age, Mr. Bac became familiar with the work of planting, caring for, pruning and shaping bonsai trees. After getting married, he and his wife continued the traditional profession left by his father.

With a small initial capital, Mr. Bac’s family invested in buying seedlings and embryo trees to take care of. With his passion and skillful hands, he searched for raw materials, from simple trees through the process of creating, pruning and caring.

These bonsai trees have become vibrant, beautiful works, suitable for the tastes of connoisseurs and well received by the market, from which his family's economy has improved day by day.

With the desire to develop and enrich himself from the traditional profession left by his ancestors. In 2017, he established Do Hoang Phuc Flower and Ornamental Plant Joint Stock Company with a 1-hectare garden area of ​​his family, he also rented land from other gardeners in the area to develop.

With the right direction, after many years of perseverance and hard work, Mr. Bac has now created for himself a diverse ornamental plant garden, with many large and small bonsai pots, with all kinds of trees, each tree has its own shape and style with a total garden value of more than 80 billion VND.

Typical trees with high artistic value include bonsai trees and ancient La Han pine trees. The company's total revenue is estimated at 50-70 billion VND/year, creating regular jobs for 15-20 workers with salaries of 6-7 million/person/month.

With the attention and support of local authorities, Farmers' Associations at all levels and banks, his family borrowed capital from the bank to buy an additional 5,000m2 and rented an additional 10,000m2 of land to expand ornamental plant production and business.

Along with economic development, the needs of bonsai players are increasingly diverse and rich in species, so in order to have works with personal imprints, he has constantly created, researched, learned from previous generations of artisans, from books, newspapers, the Internet and from practical experience to enrich his products.

In the process of growing bonsai, he always applies science and technology to create quality and uniqueness, making a difference between similar products.

In addition to traditional bonsai shapes and forms, he focuses on bonsai shapes. For many years, he has had many bonsai works displayed at exhibitions and competitions in the province and nationwide.

In addition to growing ornamental plants in his family's botanical garden, Mr. Bac also regularly receives contracts to construct flower and ornamental plant decoration projects in private homes, offices, hotels, resorts, beaches, national highways, etc. across the country.

In 2019, the Farmers' Association of Dien Xa Commune established the "Production and Trading of Flowers and Ornamental Plants" Cooperative Group. He participated as an active member of the cooperative group. With the experience accumulated after many years of planting trees, he is always willing to share and impart tree care techniques and support output for members of the group.

In 2022, Mr. Bac was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.

In 2020, he participated in the One Commune One Product Program (OCOP Program). His family registered 2 products to compete, which were the Long-shaped Nam Dien Sanh tree and the Truc-shaped Nam Dien Sanh tree. After appraisal, both of his family's Nam Dien Sanh tree products were recognized by the Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee as 4-star OCOP products.

In 2022, Mr. Do Duy Bac was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for having an effective and stable production and business model, helping many farmers to reduce poverty and create jobs for many workers, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province; was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union for his outstanding achievements in the Movement "Farmers compete, produce and do business well, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably" for the period 2017-2022.
