Lang Son launches Month of Action for Children

NDO - On the morning of May 29, Lang Son province held a launching ceremony for the Month of Action for Children 2025 with the theme "Practical actions, prioritizing resources to complete goals for children".

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee Duong Xuan Huyen emphasized that in recent years, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee have regularly directed all levels, sectors, mass organizations, and political organizations to fully implement policies for children, and children's rights have been well implemented.

Child protection and care in the province is increasingly receiving attention. Prevention is carried out through activities to build a safe and suitable living environment for all children; timely and fully resolving policies to support children in special circumstances.

Every year, Party committees and authorities from the province to the grassroots regularly pay attention to and direct; the coordination of the Fatherland Front and people's organizations in organizing and implementing the mobilization of all classes of people, members, business communities, and philanthropists to actively participate and respond to the Lang Son Provincial Children's Protection Fund is increasingly expanded and has positive changes.

Businesses and philanthropists have done many practical things to contribute and support such as giving scholarships, supporting the construction and repair of houses, giving savings books...

Vice Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee Duong Xuan Huyen presented gifts to children in especially difficult circumstances who are good students in districts and cities; the province's comprehensive social protection facilities; Loc Binh Hope Center...

However, child care in the province still faces difficulties and challenges. Some children face adversities in life such as: violence, abuse, accidents (especially drowning), children having to drop out of school, children in poor households, children in remote areas, ethnic minority areas...

Currently, in the province, there are more than 2,000 children in special circumstances and more than 30,000 children at risk of falling into special circumstances (accounting for 16% of the total number of children in the province); more than 1,700 children with disabilities; nearly 160 orphans in dire need of the community's help...

Collectives, businesses and individuals contribute funds to support the provincial Social Protection Fund in 2025.

To further improve the work of caring for, educating and protecting children in the coming time, the Provincial Children's Fund Council recommends that all levels, sectors, organizations and all people in the area fully and seriously implement the provisions of the law on children's work and directives and resolutions on children's work and need to include and evaluate indicators on children's work in the socio -economic development plans of each locality.

With determination and responsibility, all levels, sectors, socio-political organizations and all people should give the best to children, the future generation of the country. We should "listen to children with our hearts and protect children with our actions".

At the launching ceremony, delegates, agencies, businesses, and philanthropists donated more than 352 million VND to the Provincial Children's Protection Fund in 2025.
