Da Nang: Nearly 40 projects and startups call for capital at DAVAS 2025

NDO - On May 30, the Danang Venture and Angel Summit 2025 (DAVAS 2025) opened.

The program is jointly organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Da Nang City, the Da Nang Center for Supporting Innovative Startups, Quest Ventures Investment Fund; and HVA Investment Joint Stock Company.

    DAVAS 2025 has the participation of more than 20 investors and investment funds from countries and territories such as Singapore, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong (China), Vietnam... with a total investment of up to 3.5 billion USD. More than 60 domestic and foreign experts, speakers and more than 30 units accompanying and supporting startups will participate.

    At the same time, nearly 40 innovative projects and startups from Hong Kong (China), Singapore, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi , Can Tho and Nha Trang... participated in calling for capital.

    In recent years, Da Nang city has made continuous efforts to develop an innovative startup ecosystem. Many outstanding specific policies have been issued such as: Controlled testing of new technology solutions; tax exemption for innovative startup activities, support for innovative startup activities; support for the use of scientific and technological infrastructure assets; non-refundable support from the state budget to develop innovative startup projects; support for information infrastructure assets to develop the semiconductor and artificial intelligence sectors, etc.

    Within the framework of DAVAS, 3 investment seminars also took place.

    Currently, Da Nang has requested the policy of establishing a Free Trade Zone, promising to create momentum for Da Nang to make a breakthrough; build a regional-scale international financial center, attract strategic partners, financial institutions, support services, legal services and international and domestic law consulting, accounting, auditing units... to invest and operate.

    DAVAS 2025 has practical significance, creating a premise to position Da Nang city as an attractive destination for investors and innovative start-up projects and businesses in need of domestic and international capital.

    Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said: "Through the event, Da Nang hopes to gradually build and form a community of angel investors and venture capital funds; support projects and startups to access domestic and foreign investors, investment funds, and experts. The city is committed to always accompanying businesses, taking businesses as the center of the entire innovative startup ecosystem for development."
