According to the list of candidates for professor and associate professor in 2025 approved by the State Council of Professors, Associate Professor Dr. Ho Xuan Nang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vicostone, a unit of Phenikaa Group, meets the standards for the title of professor in 2025.
Mr. Ho Xuan Nang was born in 1964, hometown in Ninh Binh (former Nam Dinh ).
He graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 1986 with a major in Internal Combustion Engines. Immediately after graduating from university, he was transferred to do postgraduate research and received his PhD in 1992 with a major in Dynamic Mechanics from Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

He received a part-time university degree in foreign languages from Hanoi University of Foreign Languages and Education (now University of Foreign Languages, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) in 1988; and was awarded a certificate of additional knowledge for graduate students in Russian at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
Dr. Ho Xuan Nang joined the Party in 1999.
From 2017 to present, Mr. Ho Xuan Nang is a lecturer and Chairman of the Board of Phenikaa. During this period, he held the position of Director of Phenikaa Research and Technology Institute.
Mr. Ho Xuan Nang also worked as a guest lecturer at the Maritime University; taught and guided graduate students at the Vietnam Agricultural Electromechanical Institute; guided graduation projects and participated in the Graduation Evaluation Council for students at the University of Transport, Vietnam Academy of Agriculture; and worked as a lecturer at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
Mr. Nang has held the positions of Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of A&A Green Phoenix Group Joint Stock Company; Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vicostone Joint Stock Company; Director of Vinaconex High-end Stone Joint Stock Company, and General Director of Vicostone Joint Stock Company.
Mr. Ho Xuan Nang is nicknamed "Jewish" tycoon Nang by the business community. He became famous in 2014 with the sensational acquisition deal between A&A Green Phoenix Group Joint Stock Company (Phenikaa) and Vinaconex High-end Stone Joint Stock Company (the predecessor of Vicostone).
He is also known as the "boss" in the stone cladding industry in Vietnam.
By the end of 2024, Mr. Ho Xuan Nang will be on the list of richest people on the Vietnamese stock exchange with estimated assets of nearly 9,000 billion VND.
