Applying technology to develop medical tourism industry

On August 17, the Center for Information and Statistics of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City (under the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City) in collaboration with Enet Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company organized an event to introduce 4.0 clinic software, applying technology to develop the medical tourism industry in Vietnam.

According to Mr. Dong Hoang Thinh, Director of Enet Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company, Ho Chi Minh City is currently a locality with many advantages and potential for developing medical tourism because it is home to many prestigious hospitals and specialized clinics nationwide, with modern facilities and advanced equipment. Therefore, developing an online medical examination and treatment application not only creates convenience for tourists but also helps the city develop more dynamically.

According to Mr. Dong Hoang Thinh, Director of Enet Tourism Technology Joint Stock Company, Ho Chi Minh City is a locality with many advantages and potential for developing medical tourism.

Currently, the unit's software has 30 clinics and more than 200 doctors nationwide participating. Customers can schedule and work privately with each clinic and each suitable doctor, all personal information of customers is stored and completely confidential.

At the event, representatives of travel companies and hotels in Ho Chi Minh City said they are ready to introduce the application to tourists when it is completed and many reputable clinics, hospitals, and good doctors join the system.

Ms. Dam Thi Ha, Executive Director of Thai Hoa Saigon Clinic, said that applying this type of service is solving the overload situation for hospitals.

However, the clinic also hopes that the software will be more complete in the future, especially increasing the level of security for customers such as through OTP activation codes.
