On the morning of October 18, many areas in Lien Chieu and Hai Van wards (Da Nang City) were flooded due to heavy rain that lasted from the night of October 17.
In Quan Nam 1 village (Lien Chieu ward), rising floodwaters cut off some roads, making it difficult for people to move through deep water. To ensure safety, authorities have erected barriers and stretched warning ropes along deeply flooded roads.

According to Mr. Tran Van Ha (Quan Nam 1 village, Lien Chieu ward), the heavy rain at 5am this morning caused floodwaters from the mountains to rush down, cutting off many roads. "By 9am this morning, the rain was light and the water was receding, but many sections were still deeply flooded, making it difficult for people to travel," said Mr. Ha.

In the DT601 road section through Hai Van ward (Da Nang city), heavy rain caused rocks and soil to slide down onto the road surface, causing traffic safety problems.
Some residents of Hai Van ward said that upon hearing the forecast of heavy rain for many days, many households proactively moved their belongings to higher ground to prevent flooding from damaging their property.
