What do candidates need to do to participate in recruiting more than 6,000 teachers in Ho Chi Minh City?

(NLDO) - The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will use a two-round selection process - testing admission requirements and practical exams - to select more than 6,000 teachers.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just issued guidelines for the teacher recruitment process for the 2025-2026 school year. According to the Department of Education and Training, the department will use the selection method, including 2 rounds:

Round 1: Check the application requirements on the application form according to the requirements of the position to be recruited. If the requirements are met, the applicant will be allowed to participate in round 2.

Round 2: Practical exam to test the candidate's knowledge and professional skills according to the requirements of the job position. Maximum exam time is 30 minutes/candidate (including no more than 15 minutes of preparation).

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, in the 2025-2026 school year, high schools under the department will recruit 671 teachers. Of which, Region 1 (former Ho Chi Minh City) will recruit 460 teachers, Region 2 (former Binh Duong province) will recruit 157 teachers and Region 3 (former Ba Ria - Vung Tau ) will recruit 54 teachers.

For public service units under the People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones, the recruitment demand is 5,726 civil servants for teacher positions. Of which, preschool level is 615, primary school level is 2,040, secondary school level is 3,071 people.

Specifically, region 1 needs to recruit 3,089 teachers, region 2 needs to recruit 1,990 teachers, and region 3 needs to recruit 647 teachers.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will use a 2-round teacher recruitment process.

The Department of Education and Training stipulates that people who meet the following conditions - regardless of ethnicity, gender, social status, beliefs, or religion - are eligible to register for the exam:

Have Vietnamese nationality and reside in Vietnam; be 18 years of age or older; have an application form; have a clear resume; have diplomas and training certificates appropriate to the position; be healthy enough to perform the work or tasks; meet other conditions as required by the job position as determined by the public service unit but must not be contrary to the provisions of law.

The Department of Education and Training will apply priority in recruiting civil servants in the following cases:

Armed Forces Heroes, Labor Heroes, war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B: 7.5 points added to the results of round 2.

Ethnic minorities, military officers, police officers, demobilized professional soldiers, people working in secretarial work who have changed their profession, graduates of reserve officer training, graduates of training for commanders of commune-level military commands in the basic military sector who have been awarded the rank of reserve officer and have registered for the reserve officer rank; children of martyrs, children of wounded soldiers, children of sick soldiers, children of people enjoying policies like wounded soldiers, children of category B wounded soldiers, children of resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals, children of Heroes of the Armed Forces, children of Heroes of Labor: 5 points will be added to the results of round 2.

People who have completed military service, public security service, or youth volunteer team members: 2.5 points will be added to the round 2 score.

Union officials who grew up at the grassroots level, in the workers' movement: 1.5 points added to the results of round 2.

From August 14 to September 12, candidates can register online at https://tuyendung.hcm.edu.vn. Candidates can submit their application form at the reception location or send it by post. Specifically:

Units in area 1: Send to address 66-68 Le Thanh Ton, Saigon ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

Units in area 2: Send to address 99 Le Hong Phong extended, area 1, Chanh Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

Units in area 3: Send to the address of the Public Administration Center, No. 4 Nguyen Tat Thanh, Ba Ria Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
