The plan to develop a Code of Conduct for Cultural Conduct in the Digital Environment has just been issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to carry out the task of developing a Code of Conduct for Cultural Conduct in the Digital Environment according to the 2025 Implementation Plan of the Steering Committee on Science and Technology Development, Innovation, Digital Transformation, Administrative Reform and Project 06.
Accordingly, the Code of Conduct will institutionalize the above major policies of the Steering Committee, and at the same time guide cultural, civilized, and law-abiding behaviors, attitudes, and conduct in the digital environment, aiming at cultural, ethical, and humane values, contributing to preserving the traditional culture of the Vietnamese nation and building a safe, trustworthy, and law-abiding digital environment; raising awareness and responsibility of users of the digital environment, especially social networks, in sharing and spreading accurate and positive information, and preventing fake news and toxic news.
The Code encourages content creators and online users to build, create, and disseminate content with humanistic values, promote national cultural values and identities, and contribute to promoting Vietnamese culture to the world ; enhance the role of organizations and individuals in building online culture, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of users, especially children; improve the effectiveness of state management and promote the social responsibility of technology platforms.
According to the plan, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information is assigned to preside over the development of the contents of the draft Plan, outline and draft Code of Conduct, summary reports, submissions, related documents in writing or prepare the contents at meetings and seminars. At the same time, organize research, surveys, investigations, seminars and conferences to serve the development of the Decision to be submitted to the Prime Minister .
The Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library and other relevant units are responsible for reviewing, proposing, coordinating the development or implementation of contents related to their assigned fields in developing the Prime Minister's Decision on promulgating the Code of Conduct in the digital environment./.
