Overwhelmed with happiness
In the 2025 high school graduation exam, Nguyen Tran Yen Nhi (a student in class 12D1, Cua Lo High School, Nghe An province ) achieved impressive scores: 9.75 in Literature and perfect 10s in both History and Geography. With these results, she became the top-scoring student in the C00 group nationwide.
“On the morning of July 16th, when checking my exam results, my mother and I were both nervous and anxious. When the results appeared, I burst into tears because I was so happy and overjoyed. My mother, sitting next to me, hugged me tightly and cried with me. I want to share this joy with my family, teachers, and friends who have always supported and helped me throughout my studies,” Yen Nhi said emotionally.

The female student said that the score she achieved today was the "sweet reward" after months of continuous hard work. For Yen Nhi, this result was both surprising and within her expectations. After the exam, she had estimated her score and was confident that she could score above 29 points. However, when checking her score, she was still very nervous and anxious.
According to Yen Nhi, this year's C00 exam had a high level of differentiation, especially the Literature subject. Even though it's her strongest subject, she was still a little confused when reading the questions and needed a few minutes to process them. Nhi said that her 9.75 score in Literature was higher than expected, but for her, it wasn't luck but the result of continuous effort.
“My favorite part was the social commentary essay on the theme ‘Every homeland is a part of the nation’s sky.’ I analyzed and related the merger of provinces and cities; and talked about the responsibility and efforts of the younger generation in the era of national progress,” the female student shared.

For History and Geography, Yen Nhi is confident because she has studied thoroughly, and achieving a perfect score is within her expectations. For these two subjects, she chose to study from the basics rather than rote memorization. “This year’s exam included true/false questions that required critical thinking, so rote memorization was unlikely to yield high scores. Studying from the basics helped me confidently tackle all types of questions,” Yen Nhi said.
My dream is to become a teacher.
Yen Nhi is the eldest sister in the family. After Nhi is her younger brother, who is in 10th grade. Their father passed away when she was 4 years old, leaving all the burdens on their mother's shoulders. Understanding their mother's hardships, the two siblings always strive to study hard. Throughout her 12 years of schooling, Yen Nhi was an all-around excellent student. In 12th grade, she won second prize in the provincial-level excellent student competition in Literature.
Nhi always maintains a structured study schedule. Every day, she studies at home from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM. When stressed, she listens to music or watches movies to relax. "I don't study too late because I can't handle it. I also don't cram too much because I'm afraid I won't absorb the information effectively," Nhi said.

Soon, Yen Nhi will apply for admission to Hanoi Pedagogical University, majoring in Literature Education.
"Since junior high school, I've dreamed of becoming a teacher like my mother and grandmother. My mother is my pillar of support, motivating me to strive in my studies. I want to become a literature teacher in the future to impart knowledge to students in disadvantaged areas," Yen Nhi confided.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ut Suong, homeroom teacher of class 12D1, shared: “Yen Nhi is a student with great determination, always finding ways to overcome her own limitations. This achievement is not surprising at all. Because in the mock exams of the school and the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, Yen Nhi has always been among the students with the highest scores.”
