Responding to reporters, Mr. NS said that as of 6 p.m. on June 16, he still had not been able to look up his daughter's second round of the HCM City National University Competency Assessment (ĐGNL) exam scores, even though the exam council had announced the exam scores since morning.
On Facebook groups, many accounts said they were experiencing the same problem. Some people logged in and were kicked out, while others only saw the words “exam results” and no scores.

MH sighed and shared that as soon as the official Fanpage of the exam announced that the second round of exam scores were available, H. excitedly went into the system to check immediately. However, H. tried many times, and by the afternoon of the same day, she still did not know the score.
"I don't know if the system had any problems or not. In the first round, there were more candidates but this "awkward" situation did not occur. From morning until now, I have tried to check many times without success, so I am discouraged and do not want to check the scores anymore" - H. said.
Another candidate commented: "I watched very smoothly, without any problems, I even helped check the scores of 4-5 other people"
Currently, the reporter is contacting the Competency Assessment Test Council to find out the reason.
Previously, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Chinh, Director of the Center for Testing and Assessment of Training Quality of Ho Chi Minh City National University, commented that the score distribution of the second round in 2025 is close to the standard distribution, the score range is wide, and has a slight "rightward" tendency compared to the first round.
This may be due to the following reasons: first, among the total number of candidates taking the second round, there are more than 65,000 candidates who have taken the first round. This is a group of candidates with good ability or better, with test scores in the first round higher than the average; second, the second round takes place about 2 months after the first round, giving candidates more time to review and consolidate their knowledge. At the same time, due to the experience in the first round, candidates have more experience in taking the test, have better time management skills, and a better test room mentality, so their test results are improved.
In total, for both rounds of the 2025 National High School Exam, there were 152,792 candidates with 223,179 entries.
"The 2023-2025 period will see an increase in the scale of the exam. In particular, in 2025, the number of candidates will increase by nearly one and a half times compared to previous years. Despite the increase in scale, the exam results will remain stable. Specifically, the average score will fluctuate around 640-665. This shows that the test-taking ability of candidates will not fluctuate over the years and the stability of the exam is guaranteed," Dr. Chinh added.
To date, more than 110 higher education institutions have registered to use the results of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's National High School Exam for admission in 2025.
