The discussion began with poet Nguyen Duy ( Ho Chi Minh Literature and Arts Award) introducing the collection of Le - Nguyen Zen Poetry. The elaborate and meticulous work, printed on Do paper and unique, was completed in 12 years by poet Nguyen Duy and his team of collaborators including Nguyen Ba Chung (editor-translator), Sam Hamill (translator of Vietnamese poetry into English), Nguyen Duy Son (photographs), and Vo Anh Tho (art design).
After publication, the collection of poems was exhibited and introduced in many places in Vietnam such as Ho Chi Minh City General Library, Hanoi Imperial Academy... and some countries in America and Europe. Previously, the poet Nguyen Duy, editor-in-chief, and his colleagues published the Collection of Ly - Tran Zen Poetry in medium size, which was enthusiastically received by the public.

Poet Nguyen Duy shared that the Zen poetry of the Le - Nguyen dynasties is not just poetry, but contains within this work issues of textual studies, the ability to absorb Zen philosophy, perceive the emotions of the ancients, and also the hidden aspects of history.
“Poetry talks about human peace, tranquility, and serenity, living in harmony with life and nature... that is what meditation is all about,” the poet said.
Poet Nguyen Quang Thieu (Director of the Writers Association Publishing House, currently Chairman of the Vietnam Writers Association) once said in the publication of the book Le - Nguyen Zen Poetry: "Vietnamese culture is always facing the threat of being assimilated by foreign cultures. Preserving and developing national culture and poetry, including Vietnamese Zen poetry, is very meaningful. We always support and appreciate the dedicated work of poet Nguyen Duy."
Zen poetry is a particularly valuable content of Vietnamese literature. During the discussion at Dalat University, the audience also heard Master Tran Hau Thanh - Former lecturer of Dalat University present a paper on the Literary Values of Vietnamese Zen Poetry in the Ly - Tran Dynasties; Most Venerable Thich Vien Nhu - Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Vietnam Buddhism in Lam Dong Province with a paper on the Clash of Two Cultures through Chinese Poetry and its Consequences; Dr. Pham Van Hoa - Dalat University with a paper on Thinking More About Zen Poetry in the Ly Dynasty and Vietnamese Buddhist Culture...
Along with that, delegates and the public were able to visit the exhibition of unique paintings combined with Vietnamese-Chinese bilingual Zen poems, pages of poetry books projected on the screen and interspersed with performances praising the homeland of Vietnam performed by students of Dalat University.
