After the country's reunification in 1975, our country's economy was under a lot of pressure, people's lives were very difficult, but social life was still full of optimism. That was strongly expressed through famous songs such as: "Qua Ben Do Quan" by musician Thai Co, "Mua Xuan Tren Thanh Pho Det" by musician Tran Chung. Both songs, for decades after that, still resounded on radio and television, spreading throughout villages and streets. The optimistic spirit full of revolutionary will was continued by the musicians of Phu Thien Truong in the past, writing works imbued with love for the country, praising a peaceful, happy, free life, praising the Party, beloved Uncle Ho, praising the beautiful homeland.
In particular, when the country entered the period of renovation, Nam Dinh music developed strongly in both the number of authors, works as well as in artistic quality. These are the compositions: "Nam Dinh Song", "Que ta thanh pho Det", "Hat muoi que minh", "Mien xuan que huong", "Duong va ca ba", "Thinh Long bien nho" ... by authors of the previous generation: Nguyen Huu Thang, Tran Viet Duoc, Bui Thanh Binh, Vu Dinh Thanh, Hoang Lai, Dinh Quang, Van Thau, Xuan Huan ... The musicians left Nam Dinh with a deep love for their homeland through songs and melodies that are still imprinted on the pages of books and in the memories of many people. The musical works were performed by artists on all types of stages from professional to mass, and were promoted and introduced on radio and television to music-loving audiences. Through performing on stage for the people, audiences across the country have come to know the famous Van and Cheo singing voices of People's Artist Kim Lien or the skillful moon lute of People's Artist The Tuyen, female singer - artist Thuc An from the 70s and 80s of the last century. And then there are artists of today's generation such as: Tuyet Lanh, Hong Van, Meritorious Artist Thuy Quynh...".

"Literature and art are the core of a culture, contributing to the development of the personality of Vietnamese people in general, Nam Dinh people in particular, always aiming at the standard values of "truth, goodness, beauty" and "benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trust". Generations of Nam Dinh artists and writers over the past 50 years have created, published, and promoted to the public, readers, and audiences a huge volume of literary and artistic works. Writers who are pioneers in literary innovation include: Chu Van, Kim Ngoc Dieu, Tran Kim Lung, Tran Quoc Tien, Huu Anh, Bui Ngoc Dinh, Luu Tuan Hung, Nguyen Ky Khoi, Dang Huy Hai Lam... Following the previous generation, the team of writers in the new period has matured and achieved outstanding results and marks such as: Mai Tien Nghi, La Thanh An, Nguyen Duy Duong, Vu Ngoc Khanh, Pham Thi Hong Loan, Dang Hong Nam, Le Thi Ha Ngan, Nguyen Van Soan, Vu Minh Xuyen...
The achievements of Nam Dinh poetry from 1975 to present have many innovations, rich in genre, diverse, multi-dimensional in meaning, emotions and poetic language. Typical are famous poets: Doan Van Cu, Vu Quoc Ai, Pham Nhu Ha, Pham Trong Thanh, Pham Truong Thi, Do Phu Nhuan, The Hung, Tran Dac Trung, Bui Cong Tuong, Nguyen Chi Dung, Nguyen The Kien, Vu Cong Doan, Pham Ngoc Quang, Tran Van Loi, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Tran Hong Giang...
Nam Dinh stage since 1975 has changed the cultural and artistic life of the homeland, making the stage a form of art closely linked to the reality of social life, in which the humanistic aspirations of the artist have merged with the responsibility of the citizen. The prominent and urgent social issues, the obsolescence of the old management mechanism, the emergence of new production models, the problem of fighting negativity in all fields, the fight against corruption, bureaucracy, not avoiding sensitive issues, the innovation of the country, catching the pulse of life's problems, praising the resistance of the nation have been mentioned, reflected and exploited thoroughly in every aspect by the plays. Over the past 50 years, generations of authors, directors and actors in the province have affirmed their talents, leaving strong impressions in the hearts of the audience. Artists have always been creative, creating plays and vivid images under the stage lights in professional theater festivals nationwide and regionally, and have won many noble awards and medals.

"Two famous poets from Nam Dinh - Tran Dan and Van Cao belong to the generation of artists who appeared in the final period of Vietnamese literature before the August Revolution in 1945. Like poets Nguyen Dinh Thi and Hoang Cam... basically, they can be considered artists who matured during the resistance war against the French. After 1954, they were the ones who advocated strong reforms in Vietnamese poetry.
Tran Dan and Van Cao belong to one extreme of poets who are strongly attracted to the city and at the other extreme - their "same generation of unlucky poets" poet Hoang Cam stepped into resistance poetry with the dream of the Duong River with the work "On the other side of the Duong River". All the poetry manuscripts of the two poets Tran Dan and Van Cao were only published after 1986. But even in those dire circumstances, they continued to pursue poetic innovations and created a field of influence in literary life.
The events of 1975 were both the completion of a revolutionary struggle and the beginning of a process that lasted for 11 years. The unification of the country paved the way for the national renewal (in 1986) to fully realize the goal of the entire nation: a prosperous, independent and free country. After 30 years, the "dust books" (poetic works) of the two authors Tran Dan and Van Cao were published. The authors themselves received worthy honors. That honor was similar to the case of poets: Hoang Cam, Le Dat, Phung Cung, Phung Quan at different levels, contributing to the possibility of their legacy being officially reintegrated into contemporary Vietnamese literary and artistic life and influencing many artists of the next generation. One of the achievements of 50 years of literature and art can be considered the expansion of poetic and artistic horizons, reconnecting and opening up the hidden sources of Vietnamese literary and artistic life for many years.
