The price of gold rings is experiencing a phenomenal surge, surpassing the price of SJC gold bars for the first time in history and setting a new record high of 96 million VND per tael. The main driving force behind this breakthrough comes from strong investment demand, tight supply, and the influence of global gold price movements.
While previously overshadowed by gold bars, gold rings have now risen to assert their position, reaching over 96 million VND per tael. With the current growth momentum, conquering the 100 million VND per tael mark is likely only a matter of time.

At the time of the survey at 12 PM on March 14th, the price of SJC gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) and Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ) at 94.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 95.8 million VND/ounce for selling.
SJC Company lists the buying price of 9999 gold rings at 94.2 million VND/ounce and the selling price at 95.8 million VND/ounce.
Most notably, Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the highest price for plain 9999 gold rings: 94.9 million VND for buying and 96.4 million VND for selling.

The domestic gold market is closely following the general trend of the international market. Factors such as global economic instability, tensions in Ukraine, and US tariff policies have triggered a wave of people seeking gold as a safe haven. In addition, the continuous increase in gold reserves by central banks has pushed the price of this precious metal higher.
Goldman Sachs has issued an optimistic forecast, suggesting that world gold prices could reach $3,100 per ounce by the end of 2025, and possibly even climb to $3,300 if economic instability continues. If this scenario materializes, the possibility of gold rings surpassing the 100 million VND/ounce mark is entirely plausible.
However, experts also note that domestic gold prices are heavily influenced by the domestic supply and demand balance. Therefore, if demand decreases or world gold prices cool down, the price of gold rings could certainly adjust downwards.
On the international market, gold prices on the morning of March 14th traded around $2,989 per ounce, an increase of nearly $50 compared to the previous session. Expert Alex Ebkarian, CEO of Allegiance Gold, believes gold is in a long-term uptrend and could trade in the range of $3,000 - $3,200 per ounce this year.
Currently, the world gold price, converted at the listed exchange rate, is approximately 92.6 million VND per tael. Despite a sharp increase, the world gold price is still more than 3 million VND per tael lower than the domestic gold price.
