[Video] Prosecution of 8 ringleaders of fake milk powder production and consumption ring

Since 2021, the group has produced and distributed 573 brands of fake milk powder, targeting consumers, especially vulnerable groups such as diabetics, kidney failure patients, premature babies, and pregnant women.

Although the advertisement contains precious ingredients such as bird's nest and cordyceps, inspection shows that many products only contain common ingredients, with quality below 70% of the declared value.

Through searches at 19 locations, the investigation agency seized more than 26,000 cans of powdered milk, 84 types of products from 90 production batches.

The enterprises in the ring did not fully declare their revenue and committed tax fraud, causing a loss of more than VND28 billion to the state budget. The total amount of illegal profits is estimated at nearly VND500 billion.
