Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine organized a series of programs to accompany patients on Social Work Day, March 25, with a total budget of 120 million VND.

In celebration of Vietnam Social Work Day, on the afternoon of March 25, the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine organized the second Patient Festival of the year with the theme: "Listening, understanding - wholehearted support". The festival attracted a large number of patients and their families who are being monitored and treated at the hospital.
Speaking at the festival, Ms. Thach Thu Phuong - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine - said that Vietnam Social Work Day is an occasion to honor the noble values and humanistic significance of the profession, as well as to recognize the role and contributions of social workers.
In the atmosphere of the whole country welcoming and focusing on activities to celebrate Social Work Day, Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine organizes many activities to care for patients and create connections between officials and employees.
On the hospital campus, there were many booths, attracting many patients and their families such as: 0 VND booth; herbal foot bath booth for 200 patients; booth giving away 100 free meals and drinks.
At the same time, the festival gave away 600 free gifts to inpatients (50,000 VND/gift), 50 gifts to civil servants and workers who are subject to hazardous allowances (250,000 VND/gift), and 500 free books to patients.
At the same time, we also organize souvenir exchange booths between officials and employees of the hospital; write cards to share and encourage inpatients...
Ms. Phuong added that the festival accompanying patients is a regular activity that the hospital has organized for many years. The total cost of gifts, preparation and organization of the festival is more than 120 million VND.
MSc. Tran Thuc Bao - Head of Social Work Department, Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine - said that up to now, social work activities at Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine have gone through 8 years of formation and development.
With the common goal of "taking the patient as the center", the unit constantly improves services and expands the scope of operations, helping people and patients access medical services.
The Social Work Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Institute of Traditional Medicine has been and will continue to strive to fulfill its mission, not only as a bridge between the hospital and the patient, but also as a symbol of sharing, compassion, humanity in health care, building trust and satisfaction of the people in the health sector.
