The delegation of the Party Committee , People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of O Lam commune observed a minute of silence, offered flowers and incense in front of the Traditional Monument House to commemorate the merits of revolutionary soldiers who worked and fought in the Bay Nui area. At the same time, they reviewed the 95-year tradition of building and developing the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee .
At the ceremony, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of O Lam commune called on each party member and people to continue to unite, promote democracy, uphold the spirit of self-reliance; carry out well patriotic emulation movements, campaigns, and take care to build comprehensively developed residential areas.


Giving gifts to Ta Miet pagoda and policy families and households in difficulty in O Lam commune.
On this occasion, the leaders of O Lam commune presented 1 gift to Ta Miet pagoda; 10 gifts to policy families and poor households.
According to the history of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, on December 20, 1960, the National Liberation Front Committee of South Vietnam was established at Chai Rock Beach, consisting of 14 members. On February 20, 1961, the Front held its inaugural ceremony at Ta Miet Pagoda above.
In front of hundreds of ethnic compatriots, religious followers, intellectuals, and liberation army officers and soldiers, Professor Bui Duc Tam read the appeal, calling on all classes of people in the province and patriotic soldiers and civil servants... to rise up to defeat the domination of American imperialism and its puppet regime, and move towards establishing a national, democratic coalition government .
In response to that call, the Party Committee and people of the Bay Nui region both built a strong liberated zone and fought to protect and resist enemy encroachment.
Since the birth of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam, the province has stood side by side with the armed forces of Tri Ton district (old) to launch many struggle movements, leading all classes of people to build a new life, and developing associations and unions according to mission requirements.
