Vice Chairman of Ha Tien Ward People's Committee Truong Quoc Hien said that the history of opening up Ha Tien land is closely linked to the Mac family, the first person to make great contributions was Duc Khai, the town's governor Mac Cuu.

Following his father's great ambition, Mac Thien Tich, the eldest son of Duc Khai Tran Mac Cuu, was allowed by Lord Nguyen to succeed his father's career as General of the Grand Admiral of Ha Tien town.

During the reign of Mac Thien Tich, he not only protected the borderland, but also built a brilliant cultural center with Tao Dan Chieu Anh Cac, the second largest Tao Dan in the country during the feudal period after Tao Dan of King Le Thanh Tong.

It was here that the spirit of respect for morality, love of literature and creative aspirations of the Ha Tien people shone, contributing to writing a golden page of history for Vietnamese culture.

Besides the contributions of her father, Mrs. Mac Mi Co was the youngest daughter of Mr. Mac Thien Tich and Mrs. Hieu Tuc Thai, wife of the Nguyen family. According to legend, Mrs. Mac Mi Co was very filial to her parents, kind, leaving in the hearts of the people the image of a gentle, kind, compassionate young lady, willing to help the unfortunate.

Although she passed away at a young age, her virtue and spirituality are still respected and worshipped by the people of Ha Tien and visitors from near and far. Her temple and tomb on Binh San mountain are filled with incense smoke every day, becoming a sacred spiritual address, a symbol of kindness, purity, and kindness.

Every year, to commemorate and express deep gratitude to the ancestors of the Mac family, Ha Tien people and tourists gather at Binh San mountain, the sacred land of the Mac family, to respectfully offer incense, commemorate and show gratitude.

Ha Tien Ward People's Committee said that this year's festival will be held for many days with exciting activities such as: Chinese chess, human chess, martial arts; exhibition to promote tourism and local cuisine ; exchange of amateur music, and art programs to serve people and tourists from all over.

Rich cultural space, connecting tradition and modernity, expressing the spirit of remembering the source of drinking water, repaying gratitude, while promoting the image of Ha Tien and tourism culture to friends near and far.
