“This workshop focuses on exchanging experiences between Vietnamese scientists , research institutes and Korean agricultural agencies and enterprises; sharing the results of practical testing in Vietnam for some Korean agricultural materials products. New technologies and research products such as: biological products for pest control, microorganisms for environmental treatment, organic and microbial fertilizers, automatic irrigation systems and materials for net houses and greenhouses will be introduced to Vietnamese enterprises.
In addition, information on import and export conditions of technology, materials and agricultural products between the two countries will also be discussed in detail to promote trade and expand cooperation between the parties," said Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hong Son.

According to Mr. Nguyen Quy Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, the workshop is a step in preparation for a new development stage of Vietnamese agriculture. Photo: Phuong Linh.
According to Mr. Ko Bok Nam, Director of KOAT, since 2020, VAAS and the Korea Agricultural Research Institute (RDA) have cooperated to build pilot greenhouses according to the Smart Farm model. From this cooperation foundation, RDA not only focuses on smart agricultural technology but also implements the Testbed Project in Vietnam to verify the effectiveness of Korean agricultural equipment. The project is implemented with the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute (FAVRI) and the National Fertilizer Testing Institute (NCFT), opening up opportunities for deeper cooperation between the two countries in the agricultural sector.
Mr. Ko Bok Nam hopes that through this workshop, the two sides will share the results achieved and find new directions of cooperation towards sustainable development.
