There are about 250 Vietnamese people in Nepal, the spokesman said.
In light of recent developments in Nepal, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed the Vietnamese Embassy in India and Nepal to closely monitor the situation and urgently work with local authorities to find out information about the possibility of Vietnamese citizens being in distress. The Embassy also requested to ensure the security and safety of Vietnamese citizens in Nepal.
According to information from the Embassy, so far there has been no information recording Vietnamese citizens being affected by the protests.
The spokesperson said the Embassy is continuing to closely coordinate with local authorities, closely monitor the situation, and is ready to take necessary protection measures in case Vietnamese citizens encounter difficulties.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends that Vietnamese citizens in Nepal limit leaving their homes and avoid areas with protests and riots, especially in the capital Kathmandu and areas with security and safety risks.
The spokesperson also noted that citizens need to regularly monitor and update the situation on reputable local media and the website of the Vietnamese Embassy in India and Nepal.
Citizens need to strictly comply with regulations and instructions on security and safety measures of local authorities, and proactively take measures to ensure the safety of themselves and their relatives.
In addition, citizens need to regularly maintain close contact with the Embassy.
If there is no real need for work, Vietnamese citizens should consider carefully before making a trip to Nepal. In case of emergency, needing support and information, citizens can immediately contact the Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the citizen protection hotline.
Also at the press conference, the Foreign Ministry spokesman commented on Israel's attack on Hamas leadership in the capital Doha (Qatar) on September 9.
The spokesperson stated that Vietnam condemns the use of force, which violates international law, the United Nations Charter, and infringes upon the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"We call on relevant parties to exercise restraint, not take actions that escalate tensions, resolve disagreements by peaceful means, strictly comply with international law and the United Nations Charter; create a favorable environment for negotiating a complete and sustainable ceasefire agreement for the Israel-Palestine conflict for security, safety, peace and stability in the region and the world," the spokesperson said.
Ms. Pham Thu Hang said that immediately after the incident, the Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar urgently worked with local authorities and contacted the Vietnamese community.
Currently, no Vietnamese citizens have been affected. Following the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese Embassy in Qatar is still closely monitoring the situation and is ready to deploy citizen protection measures if necessary.
