The American media company US News & World Report, headquartered in Washington, DC, has just announced a ranking of the countries with the most beautiful landscapes in the world.
According to this ranking, Vietnam is ranked 36th. In addition, Vietnam is ranked 44th in the overall ranking (Best Countries) and in the list of best countries for adventure travel.
U.S. News & World Report, founded in 1933, is a media company known for its news, advice, rankings, and consumer analysis. Their rankings are based on a survey of nearly 17,000 users from 36 countries, conducted from March 22 to May 23. Each country is scored on 73 attributes, divided into 10 criteria, including: adventure, flexibility, cultural influence, entrepreneurship, heritage, dynamism, ease of doing business, power, quality of life, and social purpose.
Vietnam possesses a diverse natural landscape with mountains, islands and plains, offering many experiences for tourists. From the majestic mountain ranges and terraced fields in the North, to the white sand beaches and spectacular cave systems in the Central region, to the vast rice fields and charming river scenery in the West, each place brings its own beauty, captivating visitors.
In the ranking, Vietnam's natural beauty score is 40.3/100, climate conditions reach 16.5 points. Vietnamese people stand out for their friendliness, receiving a rating of 43.8 points, while the level of convenience for tourism reaches 45.7 points.
Vietnam’s rich cuisine, another strength, scored highly with 63.7 points. Its architectural works, cultural landscapes, and historical heritage were also positively evaluated, scoring between 41.6 and 48 points.
Topping the list of the most beautiful countries in the world in 2024 is Greece, a country in the Mediterranean region. Famous for its thousands of large and small islands, Greece attracts tourists thanks to the beauty of Santorini - where white houses are perched on cliffs overlooking the blue sea.
New Zealand, an island nation in the Pacific Ocean, takes second place. With a low population density and wild, peaceful landscape, this country impresses with its majestic mountains and pristine beaches - once the setting for the "Lord of the Rings" series.
Ranked 3rd is Italy, a country known as the heart of Europe with its distinctive boot shape. Italy attracts tourists with its long-standing culture and history, unique landscapes and delicious cuisine. This is the destination of more than 40 million tourists each year.
