Appreciating the effectiveness of the Political Consultation mechanism, the Minister suggested continuing to promote the role of this mechanism in reviewing and proposing directions for effective implementation of agreements between high-ranking leaders of the two countries in general, cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries in particular, as well as exchanging on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Regarding the direction of cooperation in the coming time, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son suggested that the two Foreign Ministries coordinate to promote the exchange of high-level delegations and all levels, especially in 2023 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Thailand Strategic Partnership.
The two sides will promote their role as a bridge to effectively implement the Action Program to implement the Vietnam-Thailand Enhanced Strategic Partnership for the 2022-2027 period, especially the "Three Connections" initiative (connecting supply chains; connecting economies, businesses and localities; connecting sustainable growth strategies between the two countries); promote cooperation in new areas such as: digital economy, green economy, energy transition...
The Minister also suggested that the two sides continue to actively coordinate consultations and support each other at multilateral mechanisms, especially at the United Nations, ASEAN and Mekong Sub-region cooperation.

Permanent Deputy Minister Sarun Charoensuwan expressed his wish to welcome Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son to Thailand; thanked the Minister for his attention and the content of the discussion; and pledged to coordinate to effectively implement cooperation contents in all important areas between the two countries, including defense and security, trade, investment, culture, tourism and people-to-people exchange.
The Deputy Minister affirmed that Vietnam is an important partner of Thailand in the region; agreed that the two sides need to continue to closely coordinate to maintain solidarity and the central role of ASEAN, and strengthen cooperation in regional and international mechanisms.
The Deputy Minister also said that, besides large corporations with very effective investment projects in Vietnam, more and more Thai enterprises are interested in and want to expand their investment and business in Vietnam.
