By market region, Asia remains the largest destination for commodities. Vietnam's agricultural, forestry and fishery products accounted for 42% of the total market share. Other key markets include the Americas (23%) and Europe (16.1%), while Africa and Oceania accounted for 3.3% and 1.3%, respectively. The most notable growth came from Europe (up 46.8%) and Africa (up 94.1%) - showing that the potential for market expansion is still very large.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Do Duc Duy directly worked with the General Administration of Customs of China, helping Vietnam to be recognized with 829 additional growing area codes and 131 packaging facilities. Notably, China has officially cleared 24 tons of frozen durian - opening up a promising direction for this king of fruits.
Mr. Phung Duc Tien said that in the coming time, the agricultural sector will focus on developing domestic and foreign consumption markets. Specific solutions include: Handling market issues to maintain and expand exports to the US, China, Japan, and the European Union. Taking advantage of free trade agreements; strengthening domestic consumption connections, especially through e-commerce platforms such as Postmart, Shopee, Tiki, TikTok, Zalo, etc.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development emphasized: "In the next phase, agricultural and rural export will be promoted." Forestry and fisheries will continue to be stable if we persist in innovating production towards reducing emissions, strengthening the circular economic model, effectively controlling epidemics and maintaining national food security.
