The program "Acting Green with HTV" took place on June 5 at Ho Chi Minh City Television with the aim of inspiring green living, sharing green transformation stories from businesses, honoring individuals and organizations pioneering in "green action" and awarding video contest prizes .

1,442 videos participated in the contest "Act Green with HTV"

With HTV, green action is a "green journey" to raise awareness of green living in the community, living environmentally friendly, and living sustainably.

The program promotes and spreads the responsibility of preserving and protecting the environment, while promoting the trend of applying green technology in environmental solutions; the country's solutions for developing green economy , digital economy, circular economy; striving for the NetZero goal before 2050 to respond to global climate change.

Mr. Cao Anh Minh, General Director of HTV, said that the contest is a meaningful playground in a multi-platform media environment for all subjects, organizations, agencies, units, businesses, schools, etc. to spread awareness for the community, contribute to improving the quality of life of people, join hands for a civilized, clean, green and environmentally friendly city.

Over the past three years, the organizing committee has received 1,442 videos from 886 units and individuals to participate in the contest in the categories of short films, animations, reports, music videos and other video genres.

In 2024 alone, there were 492 contest clips from 343 participating units and individuals. The Organizing Committee awarded first, second, third prizes and voting prizes to individuals and groups participating in the contest.

Continue the new journey

Musician Nguyen Van Chung - author of the song "Continuing the Story of Peace" - listened attentively. He shared in the program that environmental protection is very important.

The musician also promised to invest in and compose songs about environmental protection and a green planet in the future.

In addition to the contest for everyone, in 5 years, the series "With HTV Green Action" produced nearly 100 reports and accompanying trailers and was broadcast more than 5,000 times on channels HTV7, HTV9 and HTV1... More than 1 million viewers accessed the articles and video clips on HTV's multi-platform infrastructure.

In 2025, the Green Action Together with HTV bus will travel to all the streets of Ho Chi Minh City, creating a strong ripple effect and mobilizing the whole society to join hands for the environment.

The 5-year journey of Green Action with HTV has come to an end. According to HTV representative, the program will continue with a new journey, with a more innovative implementation method.

The program took place with a discussion on the topic For a Green Future , with guests including Mr. Vu Linh Quang, General Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Green Business Association; Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Anh Tuan, Director of the Center for Traffic and Transport Research, Vietnam-Germany University; Ms. Lam Thuy Ai, Vice President of the Saigon Business Club, Director of Mebi Farm Company; Miss Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc - founder of the Gen Zero project.

They shared their thoughts and proposed actions from businesses and organizations with the goal of moving towards a green and sustainable economy, transportation, and society.
