Honoring outstanding animation IPs at Vietnam Animation IP Contest 2025

On the morning of October 24, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Animation IP Contest 2025 awards ceremony took place, concluding more than 2 months of exciting competition, while honoring the best animation projects from domestic and international creative groups.

According to the organizers, this year’s contest received more than 120 entries from individuals, creative groups and animation studios across the country, as well as a number of international contestants. After the preliminary round, 80 eligible entries were divided into 3 categories: Short films or series with 37 entries; Feature films with 12 entries; Students with 29 entries.

Indochina (Indochinoir) received the highest award in the feature film category.

The jury highly appreciated the professional quality, investment and commercial potential of many projects. After a careful selection process, 24 excellent works made it to the final round, including 7 works in the feature film category, 9 works in the short film or series category, and 8 works in the category for students.

As a result, in the short film or series category, the first prize worth 100 million VND was awarded to the work Jelly's Bean . Meanwhile, the second and third prizes respectively belonged to: Panic Picnic and Meowment .

In the feature film category, the work Indochina Ai Vong ( Indochinoir) won first prize with a prize of 200 million VND. Two works, Zombie with Lazy Eyes, received second prize and Son Tinh Thuy Tinh ( The Ballad of Mountain and Water Gods ) received third prize. Zombie with Lazy Eyes also received the Beta Pick award , chosen by businessman Nguyen Quang Minh (founder and chairman of Beta Group).

For the student category, the first prize honors the work Tac with a value of 60 million VND. The two works Mot and Balcony received the second and third prizes respectively.

In addition, the jury also unanimously chose the work Emotional Bar to award a special prize worth 100 million VND.

In addition to cash prizes, winning entries also receive many in-kind prizes from sponsors.

Ms. Vu Nguyen Phuc Anh, representative of the organizing committee, said that after the award ceremony, the contestants and winning contestant groups will have 30 days to complete the procedures for receiving the prize, including requirements for a plan for using the prize. The entire prize money will be used as a fund for project development in Vietnam.
