Creating growth momentum

The 1st Congress of Vinh Xuong Commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 determined that economic development is the focus, Party building is the key, national defense and security are important and regular tasks. Policies and solutions all closely follow the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit" associated with the requirement of the political system being close to the people, close to the people, and close to the grassroots. From that orientation, the Party Committee, government and people of Vinh Xuong Commune have gradually concretized the resolution into life. Not only stopping at the growth figures, the transformation of the locality is also reflected through each new infrastructure project, each effective production model and the increasingly improved people's lives.

With its location adjacent to the Kingdom of Cambodia, and an international road and river border gate, Vinh Xuong is not only a trade connection point but is also affirming its role as a "strategic gateway" of the Tien River headwaters in the province's border economic development space. This place is both a frontline in national defense and security and an important transit point in the flow of goods, services and investment. "Promoting the advantages of the border gate, Vinh Xuong focuses on developing border economic trade, trade, services, and logistics; gradually forming a chain of links between production, circulation and consumption of goods," said Chairman of Vinh Xuong Commune People's Committee Bui Thai Hoang.

The locality proactively proposed that all levels should soon invest in and expand National Highway 80B and Provincial Road 950, creating a smooth traffic corridor, connecting Vinh Xuong border gate with Khanh Binh and key economic centers in the region, gradually removing infrastructure bottlenecks that are holding back development space.

“Vinh Xuong is planning to form a Vinh Xuong commercial and industrial zone and an entertainment area with a scale of about 62 hectares. When these projects are implemented synchronously, the locality will have a new growth pole, contributing to shifting the economic structure towards services and industry; at the same time, creating jobs, increasing income for local workers and attracting young human resources,” said Mr. Tran Van Hop - Secretary of Vinh Xuong Commune Party Committee.

“We hope that the province and the central government will soon invest in expanding the Vinh Xuong commercial and industrial zone, calling on businesses to build factories and plants, attracting workers so that their children can return to their hometown to work, contributing to the development of their homeland,” said Ms. Tran Thi Lai, a resident of Vinh Xuong commune.

Building a strong Party

Along with the development of border trade economy, Vinh Xuong identifies agriculture as an important livelihood foundation for the people. The commune focuses on restructuring agricultural production towards applying science and technology, increasing added value associated with building new, advanced rural areas and sustainable development.

Many new production models have shown clear effectiveness. The application rate of "3 reductions, 3 increases" reached over 96%, the model "1 must, 5 reductions" over 66%. Safe vegetable models applying mist irrigation bring profits of about 90 million VND/1,000 m2/year. Cage fish farming has been expanded with more than 100 cages, with an estimated output of over 1,000 tons/year, contributing to stabilizing the livelihoods of many households.

Nowadays, agricultural development in Vinh Xuong not only increases output but also improves the quality of life, creating a sustainable livelihood foundation for people in the upstream and border areas. “The commune Party Committee identifies Party building as the key. This work is comprehensively implemented in terms of politics, ideology, organization, inspection and supervision. The commune Party Committee focuses on innovating leadership methods, improving the quality of Party cell activities, tightening discipline and order, promoting the exemplary role of cadres and Party members, especially leaders,” Mr. Tran Van Hop shared.

Over the past 4 months, the commune has boldly arranged well-trained young cadres to work as Party cell secretaries in 15 hamlets. This policy not only contributes to rejuvenating the team but also creates a practical training environment for the next generation of cadres to "live with the people, work with the people, and grow from the grassroots", thereby strengthening the people's trust in the political system at the border.

On the development journey, Vinh Xuong not only makes a breakthrough to develop the economy but also gradually affirms its role as a fulcrum at the front line of the Fatherland, connecting the headwaters of the Tien River with the new development space of the province.

From today's changes, we believe that Vinh Xuong will continue to grow stronger, becoming a typical locality in socio-economic development associated with Party building and maintaining national defense and security in the upstream and border areas.
