Ms. Mai Tu Nhi, Vice Chairman of Tan Loc Commune People's Committee, said: "The summer-autumn rice planting schedule is from April to the end of May. This year, it rained right at the time of planting, creating extremely favorable conditions for people to carry out the crop. Hopefully, the weather conditions will continue to be favorable for people to cultivate, so that the summer-autumn crop will achieve high results."

People improve the soil, plow and loosen it before sowing, the seeds are soaked and incubated for 25-30 hours, incubated until they crack, then sown. Mr. Le Van Lo, Hamlet 5, Tan Loc Commune, wishes: "Now the price of shrimp has also decreased compared to before, many things have been lost, so I try to sow the summer-autumn rice crop with the hope of a favorable season, high rice yield and stable prices".

To limit pests, diseases, and salinity, and ensure water sources for high-yield, high-quality crops, people need to take care of and fertilize properly, following the recommendations of the relevant authorities.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Head of the District Department of Agriculture and Environment, recommended: "People should try to stick to the crop calendar, closely monitor the weather to promptly handle erratic rain and sunshine, avoid being affected by drought and salinity at the end of the crop, and avoid pests and diseases, so that the crop is highly effective."

In addition, the district's agriculture and environment sector regularly updates weather and hydrological information, directs the good operation of irrigation works, promptly issues notices and recommendations on pests arising in the summer-autumn rice crop, to help people be more proactive in prevention work, striving to achieve productivity and quality as planned./.
