The case of a male student assaulting and throwing his friend into a lake: What did the principal say?

(Dan Tri) - According to Ms. Ha, in class, the two boys were both good students and played closely with each other. The one who threw his friend into the lake did not show any unusual or hyperactive behavior at school.

On the morning of November 6, speaking with Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Dang Thu Ha, Principal of Quang Trung Secondary School ( Yen Bai ward, Lao Cai province) said that the school is continuing to coordinate with authorities to clarify the incident in which two 8th grade students of the school had a conflict, after which one student threw the victim into the lake and left.

Ms. Ha confirmed that the incident was real and that both students were at the school. In addition, the male student used a sharp object to attack his friend before throwing the victim into the lake.

“After the incident, the school and the victim’s family took the child to the hospital for emergency treatment. Initially, it was noted that the child suffered soft tissue injuries. On the night of November 5, the child was taken to Viet Duc Hospital for examination, and this morning was taken to Lao Cai General Hospital No. 1 for monitoring,” said Ms. Ha.

According to Ms. Ha, both students are good students and play well with each other in class. In addition, the student who threw his friend into the lake at school and in class did not show any signs of abnormality or hyperactivity. The authorities will make a conclusion later on whether the student is sick or not.

The principal of Quang Trung Secondary School added that the families of the two students mentioned above were also close friends. After the incident, the father of the male student who threw his friend into the lake took his son to the police station to report. The school is continuing to coordinate with the authorities, waiting for an official conclusion on the incident.

Sharing with reporters, Mr. T. (the victim's father) also confirmed that the two male students were in the same class and were close friends. Before the incident, the son and his friend showed no unusual signs.

"When you jumped in and grabbed my neck, my son thought you were joking. He even asked why you grabbed his neck so hard," the victim's father added.

According to Mr. T., his son has regained consciousness and is being treated in the hospital. After examination and X-rays, the doctor concluded that his health is stable.

Previously, speaking to Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Luyen Huu Chung, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province, said that after the incident, the school and the ward police arrived and took the injured victim to the emergency room.

"According to the initial report, the male student who threw his friend into the lake showed signs of hyperactivity. The initial cause was due to the two sides having a disagreement, arguing, and then suddenly attacking each other. Regarding the information that the male student used a weapon to stab his friend, we are clarifying it," said Mr. Chung.
