The Department of Food Safety of Quang Tri province informs the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune and the Le Thuy Regional Medical Center to serve the process of concluding the food poisoning incident that occurred on September 26 at Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (Kim Ngan commune) according to regulations; to have a direction for handling and recommendations to people to prevent the risk of food poisoning in the area.
This result is considered quite surprising because previously, many people suspected that the breakfast of the students on September 26 was banh tay which was considered to be of poor quality, which was also the cause of the poisoning. Because after the students finished eating the banh tay, the incident occurred.
On September 26, a food poisoning incident occurred at Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School after breakfast. The incident became more noisy when information emerged that the Vice Principal of Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School, Do Thi Hong Hue, prevented the students from being taken to the hospital. A clip from the school's medical room spread on social media, making public opinion even more indignant.
After being treated and discharged from the hospital, 75 boarding students of the school simultaneously stopped going to school to protest against Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue, the person in charge of the boarding meals.
On the morning of October 2, the People's Committee of Kim Ngan commune decided to temporarily suspend Ms. Do Thi Hong Hue from work for 15 days.
