In Ha Nha commune, heavy rain continues, causing the water level of the Vu Gia River, which flows through the commune, to exceed alarm level 3. Many inter-village roads and Provincial Road 609 are flooded to a depth of 0.5 to over 1 meter.
In Vinh Phuoc village, the family of Ms. Le Thi Tuy (65 years old) was severely affected when the water level rose about half a meter above the house's foundation, disrupting their daily lives. However, thanks to timely assistance from the authorities and neighbors, all household items and assets were moved to a safe place, avoiding damage from the flood.

Ms. Le Thi Tuy shared: “My family consists only of my elderly husband and me. We relied on neighbors and young people in the village to help move our belongings upstairs. Although the floodwaters rose rapidly, the people in this area are used to dealing with floods, so they proactively cleaned up from yesterday afternoon and evening.”

The People's Committee of Ha Nha commune mobilized militia and commune police forces to set up checkpoints at critical points, and simultaneously deployed rapid response teams to each village to encourage residents, especially the elderly, the infirm, and those living alone, to move to safe areas.
Local authorities have relocated 39 households with 59 people to sturdy houses in the area. A total of 143 houses in the commune were flooded.

Without waiting for the floodwaters to recede, officials in Ha Nha commune stayed close to the area, going down to each residential area to assess the situation, visit and encourage the people. Mr. Mai Thanh Sang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Nha commune, said: "Given the complex developments of the floods, the Civil Defense Command of Ha Nha commune activated a 24/7 duty regime; mobilized all forces to participate in disseminating information and mobilizing the people, while also implementing measures to support people in preventing and mitigating natural disasters."
"We have prepared response scenarios for the complex weather developments in the coming days; at the same time, we have also prepared scenarios for the floodwaters peaking and receding in the near future, in order to promptly implement cleanup and sanitation, especially at schools in the area, as well as post-flood disease prevention measures," Mr. Sang added.
