The new Po To commune was established on the basis of arranging the entire area and population of the two old communes of Chu Rang and Po To. The commune currently has a total natural area of nearly 177.9 km2 , a population of 14,302 people, of which ethnic minorities account for 52.66%.

The Party Committee of Po To commune has 25 subordinate Party cells with a total of 371 Party members. The Party Committee Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term has 21 members, 6 of whom are absent. The Standing Committee of the Party Committee has 8 members, 1 of whom is absent; the Standing Committee of the Party Committee has 3 members.
After more than half a month of operating the new local government, the Party Committee and the government of Po To commune immediately carried out procedures according to regulations related to personnel work, established specialized departments and other administrative units; issued working regulations, assigned tasks; defined functions, tasks, and powers of units; received and established public service units...
The arrangement and consolidation of the administrative apparatus of Po To commune according to the 2-level local government model has been basically completed and is operating relatively stably, ensuring the direction and administration of the local government.
From July 1 to 15, the Commune Public Administration Service Center received 128 applications; of which 114 applications were completed, 14 applications are being processed, and there are no late applications.
At the meeting, the leaders of Po To commune proposed that the provincial leaders pay attention and soon invest in a number of irrigation works to ensure water sources for crops and arrange funds to implement the review and development of the commune's general planning to attract investment resources.
Ia Pa commune was established on the basis of arranging the entire natural area and population of the old communes of Ia Mrôn, Kim Tân, and Ia Trok. The commune has a natural area of 103.2 km2 , a population of 6,949 households with 29,541 people, of which ethnic minorities account for 64.3%. The commune still has 347 poor households, accounting for 4.9% and 513 near-poor households, accounting for 7%.
Ia Pa Commune Party Committee currently has 45 subordinate grassroots party organizations with 772 party members. The total number of district-level cadres, civil servants, and public employees (former) and commune-level cadres and civil servants (former) deployed in Ia Pa Commune after the merger is 85 people.

At the Public Administration Service Center, the commune has arranged a large-screen TV to guide and propagate people to register accounts on the National Public Service Portal, install public digital signatures; arranged 3 computers with Internet connection, printers, scanners to serve organizations and individuals to look up and submit documents online.
At the meeting, the leaders of Ia Pa commune proposed that the province soon organize specialized training programs on digital skills for officials and civil servants; at the same time, support funding to invest and upgrade facilities and working equipment for the commune to meet the requirements of the tasks in the current period.

Speaking at the working sessions, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh highly appreciated the initial results that the political systems of the two communes of Po To and Ia Pa have achieved in operating the new local government; especially the reception and settlement of administrative procedures at the Public Administration Service Center.
The tasks in the coming time are forecast to be extremely heavy, therefore, in order to successfully complete the assigned tasks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh hopes that the local Party committees and authorities of the two communes need to promote a spirit of solidarity and high unity in performing public duties.
Along with that, review all the work being implemented, propose fundamental solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles. Unleash resources to promote investment attraction, implement connecting projects, serve local socio -economic development.
Referring to the preparation work for the organization of the 1st Party Congress of the two communes of Po To and Ia Pa for the 2025-2030 term, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh noted that the Party Committees of the two communes, in the process of drafting the congress documents, must pay special attention to researching, proposing targets, tasks and implementation solutions that are very specific, highly feasible and close to the local reality in all fields. Each target and task set out must be implemented with the highest political determination in each year and throughout the term.
With the proactive implementation of the assigned duties and responsibilities of the Party Committee and local authorities of the two communes of Po To and Ia Pa, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that in the coming time, the two localities will reap many successes, joining hands with the province to be ready to enter a new era - the era of national development with a confident, accelerating and breakthrough mindset.
