Shooting in Kentucky leaves four dead

Police were called to the 2600 block of Ridgecrest Road where they found four people dead and three others in critical condition. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The unidentified assailant fled the scene before police arrived, leading to a dramatic chase. The chase ended on Dale Heimbrock Way when the suspect crashed into a ditch. Police found the suspect with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and took him to St. Elizabeth Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The Florence Church of God confirmed on Facebook that the shooting occurred during a birthday party after an intruder opened fire. Among the victims was a mother who was shot dead and her daughter was injured.

Police are continuing to investigate at the scene of the shooting. Authorities have confirmed that the three injured victims are in critical but stable condition.

According to police reports, the suspect has a previous record of violent crimes. Some neighbors said they heard gunshots and saw smoke coming from the scene. Authorities are investigating the motive for the shooting.
