For many years, Dinh Hoa High-Tech Agricultural Service Cooperative, Dinh Hoa Commune (Yen Dinh) has become a bright spot in changing the people's mindset of small-scale, fragmented production. After only 4 years of development, the Cooperative has had the participation of 50 households with an area of over 10 hectares growing melons, ornamental plants and safe vegetables, each sao brings an average income of 14 - 15 million VND per year. Joining the Cooperative, people are trained in technical processes for growing melons in greenhouses and safe vegetables such as using pesticides, caring for and harvesting products properly to help plants grow and develop well, bringing higher yields than before. More importantly, the products produced are signed with contracts for consumption with schools, businesses, supermarkets and stores at prices 20 to 30% higher than the market. Along with that, people's production thinking and awareness in complying with processes and technical instructions for growing safe vegetables, creating clean food sources, ensuring health, and meeting market demand are improved.

Similarly, the implementation of linkage and product consumption has helped Tan Tho Handicraft Cooperative (Nong Cong) develop. Currently, the Cooperative has more than 60 members. In 12 years of operation and development, the Cooperative has always made efforts and boldly invested in developing small-scale handicrafts and traditional occupations. After the sedge pots were recognized as provincial-level OCOP products, the Cooperative proactively built a chain of production, processing and product consumption links; organized training for hundreds of students to master the transferred technical processes. At the same time, it focused on building product labels. Currently, the Cooperative is creating jobs for nearly 500 workers with an income of 5 to 7 million VND/person/month. In the first 5 months of 2025, the Cooperative had a revenue of nearly 10 billion VND.

To support people, businesses and cooperatives in building effective linkage chains, the Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant departments, branches and localities to organize many trade promotion activities, connecting supply and demand; thereby, contributing to promoting agricultural product consumption, expanding the market for agricultural products in the province. Currently, the whole province has more than 1,300 agricultural - forestry - fishery processing establishments; 634 OCOP products have been ranked (ranked 3rd nationwide). Many traditional specialties have made a clear mark on the market such as: Thanh Hoa sour sausage, Phu Quang Lam tea, Tu Tru sticky rice cake, Ba Lang fish sauce... Along with that, the whole province has built and developed 112 supply chains, consuming safe agricultural products in the domestic and foreign markets, with the participation of 80 enterprises, cooperatives, production establishments; the supply volume is estimated at more than 570 thousand tons of safe food each year.

Promoting linkages in production and consumption of products to create safe food supply chains is necessary to move towards modern commodity production with high added value. When participating in the linkage chain, farmers can consume products at stable, safe prices with low risks; and receive investment from enterprises in seeds and agricultural materials to ensure production. At the same time, enterprises can also take the initiative in product supply, and quality is managed. In addition to these benefits, developing agricultural production according to the value chain also contributes significantly to solving the problem of agricultural product quality, increasing added value and developing agriculture sustainably in the face of market fluctuations. Models of linkage in production and consumption of agricultural products help increase productivity, quality of crops and livestock, increase product value and gradually increase income for farmers. This is also an important premise to help enterprises create large raw material areas, expand production, and bring agricultural products to the world market. Through that, creating a connection in the value chain of sustainable agricultural production and consumption, strongly applying agricultural science and technology to achieve bumper crops.

Along with that, cooperatives, enterprises and production facilities have actively expanded consumption through diversifying distribution channels, with a system of 19 supermarkets, 122 safe food stores and 387 traditional markets across the province. Agricultural product export activities have achieved many positive results. The province currently has 36 enterprises exporting agricultural products to 30 countries, with an export turnover of 290 - 310 million USD/year. Key export items include cassava starch, canned cucumbers, canned pineapples, fish meal, frozen clams, surimi fish cakes... People, businesses, and cooperatives have also implemented digital transformation in production, promotion, and consumption of agricultural products. To date, there are over 600 food and agricultural production, processing, and trading establishments participating in promotion, introduction, and sales on e-commerce platforms such as voso.vn, posmart.vn, lazada, shopee, tiki... helping to increase average sales by 15-20%/year.

The above results are evidence of the concerted efforts of all levels, sectors, businesses and people in developing sustainable agricultural value chains, improving competitiveness, and gradually affirming Thanh Hoa agricultural products' position in the domestic and international markets.
