Mr. Le Truong Luu said: In the face of complicated developments in the world situation and the increasing requirements of military and national defense tasks, the city's Military Deputies have thoroughly implemented the resolutions and directives from above; proactively and sensitively in advising, flexible and creative in organizing the implementation to successfully complete a number of excellent goals and targets. At the same time, implementing the breakthroughs of the Resolution of the 12th National Congress, term 2020 - 2025. The stature, scale and overall quality, and combat strength of the armed forces have been constantly improved, meeting the requirements of the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.

How have the outstanding achievements in the leadership of the military and defense tasks of the city's armed forces been recognized over the past 5 years, sir?

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the City Military Delegation closely followed the resolutions and directives of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense ; the Party Committee, the Military Region Command; the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee and the practical situation in the area, thereby proposing many policies and solutions for leadership and direction, identifying breakthroughs, and comprehensively completing all aspects of work. With high political determination, the City Military Party Committee has proposed many policies and solutions to coordinate and direct local defense and security work, building an all-people national defense (NDD), a strong people's security posture associated with a strong people's security posture, and an increasingly solid "People's Hearts Position".

The outstanding mark is: Focusing on leadership and direction to complete the breakthrough in training and drills; building discipline, training, law enforcement, ensuring combat readiness in the city's armed forces. Thereby, the leadership capacity, fighting strength of the Party Committee, Party organizations, and the overall quality of the city's armed forces are constantly improved; successfully performing the tasks of military, defense, and border defense, building a strong national defense foundation, a solid defense zone, ensuring security and safety of the national border; maintaining political stability, social order and safety, promoting socio-economic development, making an important contribution to building Hue into a centrally-run city.

Can you tell us about the lessons learned in the process of leading and directing the implementation of QS and QP tasks?

Firstly, grasp the principles, maintain and strengthen the comprehensive leadership and direction of Party committees and organizations; closely coordinate with forces, departments, branches and organizations; operate flexibly, decisively and creatively in organization and implementation.

Second, pay attention to building the city's armed forces to be strong in politics, ideology, and organization; maintain leadership principles associated with promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style, and Resolution 4 of the 12th Central Committee; grasp the situation, promptly and accurately handle situations, and avoid being passive or surprised.

Third, promote the strength of the entire political system in building a strong national defense and security foundation, building potential in the region; maintain solidarity and close ties with local Party committees, authorities and people; build a strong and comprehensive foundation, successfully complete local defense and security tasks.

Fourth, maintain strict implementation of the regime and operating order of organizations; do a good job of managing, educating and training cadres, party members and soldiers; strictly handle violations, maintain discipline and order to ensure the stability and solid development of the city's Party Committee and armed forces.

Fifth, strengthen inspection, examination, preliminary and final review, experience sharing, promptly commend, reward, and replicate new factors, model points, and collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements; build a healthy cultural environment, create trust, and motivate comprehensive development for officers and soldiers to excellently complete all assigned tasks.

In the coming time, how will the City Military Party Committee determine its directions, goals, tasks and solutions, sir?

Faced with increasingly high task requirements, in order to lead the city's armed forces to successfully complete assigned tasks, the City Military Party Committee continues to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Central Committee on implementing military and defense strategies and projects, focusing on Resolution of the 8th Central Committee (13th tenure) on the Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation; on building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite and modern army.

Promote the combined strength of the entire political system and the entire population in building up the potentials in the Central City's defense zone firmly, in association with socio-economic development; organize forces suitable to the locality and local government at 2 levels; organize and arrange the armed forces units in the direction of "revolutionary, regular, elite, modern", a strong reserve force, and a strong and widespread militia and self-defense force.
