Bong Ha village has 560 households, with 2,000 people, diverse economic sectors, with the support of superiors, Bong Ha villagers join hands to contribute efforts and money to build welfare works, because they understand that new rural construction not only serves them but is also a premise for local socio-economic development.

Delighted with the changes in his hometown, Mr. Trinh Van Hanh, a resident of Bong Ha village, shared: "We are very excited about the transformation of our hometown. The narrow roads of the past have been replaced by spacious, clean concrete and asphalt roads; the communal house and cultural house have been newly built and renovated; environmental sanitation has been ensured, creating a new look for the village."

With the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people enjoy", along with the investment resources of the State, Minh Tan commune has promoted propaganda and mobilization work to make people aware of their responsibilities and roles as subjects in implementing the New Rural Construction. In particular, promoting the exemplary role of cadres and party members according to the motto "above first, below last", "inside first, outside last", "party members go first, the country follows", etc., especially the heads of Party committees, authorities, and organizations. Since then, it has spread and become a voluntary and positive action of many collectives, cadres, party members and the masses.

With outstanding efforts, after just over a year of merging (Vinh Minh and Vinh Tan communes into Minh Tan commune), in 2020 Minh Tan commune was recognized as meeting advanced NTM standards. Not stopping there, in 2024 Minh Tan continues to build a model NTM commune.

Minh Tan Commune Party Secretary Le Van Thuan said: To implement the task of building a model new-style rural commune, the Commune Party Committee issued resolutions, established and consolidated the Steering Committee and the Village Development Committee; the Commune People's Committee issued plans and work programs for implementation, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations built action movements, promoted the great national solidarity bloc, gathered union members, association members and people from all walks of life to respond and participate. Up to now, together with the commune budget for investment management and mobilization of people's contributions, the commune has built traffic and irrigation works, cultural houses - sports areas in villages, medical stations, public lighting systems, synchronous and modern school and office facilities, etc.

Innovative village

Implementing the construction of a model new-style rural commune has helped Minh Tan continue to promote economic development, improve income and people's lives. In the agricultural sector, all stages have been mechanized, land has continued to be accumulated, creating a specialized area of ​​10 hectares of bananas, 3 hectares of safe vegetables following VietGAP, 150 hectares of rice, 50 hectares of corn with high quality and efficiency; forming production models in greenhouses and net houses; maintaining 2 effective agricultural service cooperatives. Industrial production continues to develop, maintaining and developing the Lang Mai stone carving craft village and production facilities in Vinh Minh Industrial Cluster with more than 200 enterprises and production facilities, creating stable jobs for more than 1,500 workers with a monthly income of each worker from 6 to 15 million VND; Maintain the 3-star OCOP product "Carp playing with paintings" four-season stone painting, achieving the typical rural industrial product of the Northern provinces.

The exciting new point is that Minh Tan has called for FDI investment to open an export garment factory with a scale of 1,000-1,300 workers, opening up job opportunities and income for local workers... Up to now, Minh Tan has become a dynamic economic zone of the district, bringing the average income per capita to nearly 81 million VND/person/year...

The economy has developed, the cultural and spiritual life of the people has been improved, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" associated with the contest to build a bright, green, clean and beautiful Minh Tan has created a new development, 100% of villages have achieved the title of cultural village; 420 models of clean houses, model gardens, household gardens, clean and beautiful household houses; 100% of households have houses that meet standards; cultural and sports facilities have been completed synchronously. Folk games of village festivals, card games, chess, cheo singing, traditional cultural activities are organized regularly.

Facilities and teaching equipment of schools are invested synchronously; education quality and education universalization are improved; 5/5 schools meet national standards level 1, of which 1 school meets national standards level 2; cultural facilities - sports areas are invested in and built modernly, meeting the needs of community activities...

Minh Tan today is transforming and rising, a testament to the determination and efforts of the Party Committee, the government and the people of the entire commune. With the viewpoint that building a new rural area has a starting point but no ending point, the commune will continue to improve the quality of the criteria, building Minh Tan homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful, civilized, and a livable countryside.
