Xuan Son announces good news, sets time to return to Vietnam national team

Previously, Xuan Son broke his leg in the second leg of the AFF Cup 2024 final, which took place on January 5 this year, at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok, Thailand). Immediately after Xuan Son was injured, this player was rushed to a hospital in Bangkok.

Xuan Son was then brought back to Vietnam for surgery and treatment. The entire cost of Xuan Son's injury treatment was covered by the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and its partners.

Xuan Son is in the recovery phase. He is doing exercises at the hospital, equivalent to the recovery exercises at the club. These exercises are specially designed for the striker who plays for Nam Dinh Football Club.

In the coming time, it is expected that the amount of exercises for Xuan Son will gradually increase, in accordance with the recovery progress, while ensuring the maintenance of Xuan Son's muscle strength. It is expected that Xuan Son can return to the field next September.

This is very good news not only for Nam Dinh Football Club, but also for the Vietnam national team. Coach Kim Sang Sik's team (Korean) will have a series of matches in the third qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup, in October and November.

The return of Nguyen Xuan Son is expected to help the Vietnamese team score better in the above Asian Cup qualifying matches.

As for Nam Dinh Club, Xuan Son has signed a new contract with the team until 2031, which means until the 28-year-old striker almost ends his career at the top level. Xuan Son will almost certainly spend the rest of his professional career with Nam Dinh Club.
